Staff can make mistakes too. This is why people should appeal and tell the truth without anger.

You should probably make a new status - but as I've learnt the staff take duping *very* seriously - if they have to investigate it, they'll by all means investigate it seriously. Even if it means potentially - they'll still investigate it.

A ban is warranted in this situation - if you weren't banned it'd be harder to investigate as you can still chat, and could start complaining about it in public chat, but obviously that moved to the forum. These "precaution" bans usually happen to prevent further drama.
