I don't think we get them in Australia. I'm not scared of too many spiders, but we get some seriously deadly ones: the Sydney funnel-web, and the redback. Both are deadly to humans.
(The spider in the picture is a redback spider though, for future reference)
Nah, black widows have a red hourglass shape on their underside and broken red patches on their back, but that specific unbroken line from the middle of the abdomen to the back is characteristic of a redback. They're closely related, but it doesn't look like a window to me
Welp, I live in Australia and I may or may not have more experience than you with animals from said country xD To be fair, I know very little about foreign animals (Australia has enough to keep me entertained)
