Yeah rap is mostly made of awful lyrics with a catchy beat. "N**ga n**ga n**ga -sex stuff and drugs"

So you haven't heard Kanye West's The College Dropout or Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly wut

+ how is that inherently bad it's not like 99% of rock and roll isn't about drugs and sex

Cause it sounds ghetto to me. I only like Eminem and Cypress hill

Both really talented but dismissing a whole genre because of the topics some make music about without considering whether they are making good music is kinda ignorant

Like Coldplay for example. Their songs are of life and love etc. Meaningful stuff with good sound imo. They don't gotta say the n word and talk about hanging chicks like they're cannon fodder to be talented

Okay, you like Coldplay for those reasons but why not Kanye West? He has an entire album talking about things like public schools budgets getting gutted leading to uneducated citizens leading to more crime. Kendrick Lamar has an entire album centering around self love and appreciation.

What makes them different?

I never listened to Kayne and the few songs i heard from Kendrick were like every other 2017 hit rap song

HUMBLE. his biggest charting single to date, it's just a regular (although good) brag rap song in terms of the single but it has a deeper meaning when it comes to the album
