My new phone tracks my heart rate at night and alerts me if it goes obnormal.. Like wth. It also tracks the apps I use and where. So when I get home it'll bring up the apps I use mostly at home. P.P Checks light levels and adjusts my screen to the light. It's all fancy.
Wanted to get the S7 but that would of shot my Verizon to 50$ per month.. The HTC cost me 75$ out of pocket 40$ per month and came with a tablet. Pretty god deal, but it does give me problems with needing to software update every day.
Depending on the phone/tablet, there are more features that you can point out, including water/dust/shock resistance, dual SIMM, more RAM, controller support, NVIDIA GameStream, NVIDIA Shadowplay, 1440p and 2160p displays, dual camera/higher megapixel cameras, lower MSRPs, virtual buttons, micro-USB or USB-C, and bigger batteries.
I have a NVIDIA SHIELD K1 tablet and a Samsung Galaxy S7 myself.
while qhd and uhd screens are nice, they are just battery eaters imo. the only reason I like it is for screenshots, so you can zoom in. I guess they would be nice for watching movies and stuff, but 1080 is fine for me (even though the s6 I have is qhd lol)
