The Bible is a bunch of bull. You aren't born knowing you're gonna be gay, you can be born a christian though. My point is, Christianity is a religion of accepting, if they can't accept their own people and respect their desicions, the religion shouldnt exist.

It's not thaaat controversy. I think some people found a way to live with it and still be christian. Pretend I am gay and christian, I would say: "This is non of your business! I want to believe what I want and still be a free man, because god gave me a free will (or something like that)." They can judge you but they can't take your believe away.

I really like the last section of the link I posted, it talks about how we should still accept that people have there own choice and we should respect them

I like that comment kang, because thats what I think, if a gay person wants to come and worship god at church I say he is free to do so, What im saying is that the bible says that, that person cannot get to heaven unless he repents, just to clarify im not saying its a sin, the bible is. I belive that we should let anyone come worship though,

Agreed. I had a classmate in school who was (a bit too extreme) christian. I asked him what he would do if a really good friend is gay. He said he wouldn't want to be friend with him. Which i really don't understand, because it changes nothing who the person is.

It's a sin, and everyone commits sins. No one is perfect, but it's not impossible to stop being gay. You're willingly going against God's commandments and I'm 100% positive He doesn't like that. Just because someone's a Christian doesn't mean that he should avoid contact with him, but it doesn't mean that he should spend every waking moment with him.

You can't stereotype every Christian as a homophobe because that's like saying all whites are racists.

Some of these comments are highly aggravating. Christianity is about having a relationship with God DESPITE your faults and sins. The whole point of it, is that God forgives you. The intensity of a sin has no correlation to the amount of love God gives. You can be a gay Christian just as much as I can be a lying Christian- or a cheating Christian- an imperfect Christian. Hope that makes sense.

but just like if you spend your whole life lying, it wont get you into heaven, but we should be loving and supporting to people

Depends on what you believe. If you're still basing this off of a Christian faith, lying your whole life will have nothing to do with whether or not you go to Heaven. ;p

But yes, it's important to love and support one another no matter their beliefs or lifestyle.

the whole bible is based off if you dont follow the commandments you get sent to hell, the law of Moses, people used to get stoned for not keeping them. even Jesus Christ, his whole teaching was if you love me keep my commandments and then you can get to heaven. If you want I can get scripture evidence for this. our job though is to love everyone

I think God's just salty and hates gays because one of his prophets probably became gay at some point tbh.

You can't go ahead and make these assumptions of, "one of His prophets became gay at one point tbh," because you don't have room to speak without actually being there and/or reading it directly from a first-hand source (the Bible). God ain't salty, and I can guarantee that He doesn't hate gays at all.

    :p!

That was a joke. Also many of the quotes in Leviticus were misinterpreted as a result of bad translating. One of the most famous anti-gay verses meant that a man was not to lie with a man in a woman's bed because men were above women. I'm not sure what's worse, being misogynistic or homophobic, but that's that.

Also, God doesn't condemn gays, he condemns gay marriage, as that is also a mistranslation where marriage in the Catholic culture is a rite between a man and women, and not what modern day marriage is.
