Here's the thing. As much as you hate school, you are not going to get anywhere in life unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing. People tend to use the "Bill Gates" example, but think about it. What are the chances that the same thing is going to happen to YOU? Unfortunately, I would have to say that it is not very high. Moreover, Gates dropped out of college, not out of 11th grade literature
Oh of course. Don't get hung up on one bad grade, just try your best and find out how you learn best. It's important to decide WHY you may be making bad grades before you hit high school so you can help yourself be the best student you can be. You have to find how and where you study best, what part of the classroom you should try to sit in, etc.
It just kills me to see kids in elementary school, middle school, and even high school disregarding school to play video games. Playing 7 hours a day, up until 2 AM every night. Do you even know what that does to your brain? And then when graduation rolls around you may be the best at GTA in your school, but what is your future going to be? Plan ahead folks.
Also do you know how many teenagers want to be video game designers or testers. A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT. And what do you think the demand is for that job? If you want a career you need to take it seriously, do some research about your chances, salary, and what kind of classes you need to take, and you chase that dream. But be realistic.
Our generation takes education for granted, and it pisses me off so much. So many people in war-torn and underdeveloped countries would sacrifice anything to have an education, which is something that kids these days would throw away without batting an eye.
Yes. I mean sure, the USA's education system is kinda f***ed up right now. But it's FREE and we all have it. We have to fight our way through it so we can reach college (also kinda f***ed up price-wise) and reach our dreams, unlike some kids are who don't have free public education.
I hate the fools, the people who have a chance to learn, but instead they disturb others in learning, and US's school education is like, free. They don't think about the kids who actually want to go to school. They don't think about the future, only their present. Those are the people who I call fools.
Fast food jobs aren't bad for teenagers to have while they go to school. And I understand that in some situations, people may drop out of school as the only option to help support others. They deserve better. But people who purposefully give up on school when they had the chance to continue, they deserve that kind of low pay work.
