And I am aware I broke a rule in the scamming section involving "but having ripped the other player off." Do you think this punishment was incorrect? Yes, I believe so. Why should you be unbanned? I believe I should be unbanned, or at least have the ban reduced in length because before I began lowballing inexperienced new players, I had created a small wool box (the one Oak and Bree saw) with two signs saying "Buy them while there's stock" and the other saying "Sell them while there's funds." With these signs, there were also 6 chestshops. This was supposed to be a market. (customer pov) The cheapest shop was buy for 64 grass and sell for 32 grass. The most expensive I believe was buy for 256 grass and sell for 128 grass. With these prices pre-set, I had wool blocks as the substitute item for the /gifts head until the server was updated. Once /gifts came, I set the substitute items to the real item, Anniversary Blocks and with that I changed both Nomrial and ChestShops's set-home to the wool box and began advertising on /ads and in global chat. Until a few minutes went by, I realized my alt's set-home wasn't properly updated so thus, I broke the chestshops in the wool box and quickly moved it to the main area of my island. Prices ranged from the same 64/32 grass to an even higher price, 350/175 as there was much more room now for this market. This is about the time I began lowballing new players for their Anniversary Blocks. With the cost being 64 grass each, I managed to gather up about 9 Anniversary Blocks with some Anniversary Fireworks illegitimately, with 2 other Anniversary Blocks/Fireworks being from Nomrial and ChestShops's account. With this many, I felt settled and quit lowballing. After realizing transactions of the low and high priced heads weren't going through, I decided to demolish all chestshops except the common market's price (customer pov) of 224g to buy and 200 grass to sell. I had created the market worth of chestshops to make little profit from low priced shops to big profit from high priced shops. The goal was to sell/buy Anniversary Blocks for cheap and also for expensive because it was a market. I had expected people to sell low and buy high which it turns out that wasn't the case. This is why I then switched to a single shop that only bought and sold at market price. I expected almost every chestshop to get at least one transaction so both me and customers were happy with profit but that didn't even remotely happen. When I was lowballing new players, I didn't intend to buy for 1/4 of the price and then sell EVERY head for market's price (or even higher) to maximize profits in a greedy way but the lack of transactions in my market forced me to move strictly to only market's price of customers buying for 224 grass and selling for 200 grass. I am truly sorry for scamming new players who were unaware of the normal price of the item and fell for my cheap/scummy price. This is the first and only ever time I have lowballed new players. Alright, you’re trying to explain that you have plenty of offers in your wool box to other players. Despite this, you offer greenies below the 32g that was your lowest shop. How do you believe this is okay? Considering you’re an experience player and does not find the ban incorrect. Furthermore, please explain how these wool box shops are relevant as you went around on greenies islands offering 27 grass for 2 heads for instance. How does this make the shops relevant. Thanks
My shops were low to high in pricing. Buying heads for 32 grass (which nobody sold to that shop) or 27 as you said is low, but it was a market. A 5 grass difference is not significant. There were also shops that had me buying heads for 200+ grass and even one with the pricing of 350/175. Logically, this should even out to the average pricing of the heads at the time. The market was relevant because that is where I intended to sell and buy more Anniversary Blocks to make grass rather than buying heads for no use besides showing off. I do not believe I offered any members 27 grass for two heads. I stuck at 64 grass per head. If I did, it all correlates to the market on my island with a huge selection of pricing. I was planning on selling heads for 64 grass whilst buying them in my shop for 32 grass in which I did not force or manipulate members to sell to that single shop. Funds were provided to all shops. The market's intent was for a variety of prices which would interest more users to visit the shop and stay longer rather than a single chestshop that takes 2 seconds for a customer to summarize. This would promote more transactions. In no way when I created the market I thought the purpose was to scam/lowball more players. For example, on Skyblock's anniversary in 2021, a player decided to buy heads for 64 grass each which I fell for. Later that day, it became more apparent to me the price was well over 200 grass per head. He was not punished despite staff being directly on his island. He had a market just like I did.
The market price for the heads from other players where never under 100. It was around 180+ at least from the start of the release of /gift. Therefore, buying 2 heads for 27, 14g each is almost 13 times under the market value. There were plenty of other people in-game offering around 180-200+ grass. Furthermore, my biggest concern is how many heads you actually planned to sell for 64. I've also noticed you saying you did it intentionally to gain grass, which is kind of concerning to say.
I get that other players' shops didn't go below 100. I checked /shops find owned/wanted multiple times and saw that everyone else buying heads only had a single shop indicating they were only buying for the average price. None of them had 10 chestshops like I did. I understand it was 180+ grass at the start but I've been saying my prices were both very bad for me in making money and some we're excellent. This is where it would even out to the common price of it if every shop was active in transactions which didn't occur. It was dependant on if people were interested in selling me heads for cheap which would stock the chestshop with 1 head for 64 grass. Knowing this wouldn't have justified the fact that I lowballed new members, I planned to occasionally stock the cheap priced chestshops with my illegitimately earned heads. I have a rare shop on my island consisting of almost every lored item excluding expensive ones such as drop party heads. I wouldn't have bought these heads for a collection or for showing off. I bought them to make grass to fund empty chestshops on my island. Yes I admit, I broke the rules for my own personal gains but I am truly sorry for that. I'm also expecting to return to my island once the ban's duration is cleared to an empty chestshop with no grass or heads which I am willing to accept as I lowballed new players. I do not plan on receiving a refund as this whole mess is completely my fault.
Hello Nomrial, You said yourself you haven’t bought heads for under 64, which you are clearly lying about. Furthermore, doing trades with the intention of ripping others off and earning grass yourself is not acceptable. In addition, you clearly seem to be aware of the market price of 180+ therefore you should not be going around inexperienced players islands and offering 14g for a head for instance.
