I was banned from the Survival Skyblock server because i typed the word "negus" in the chat and it was deemed as racism. "Negus" means the ruler of Ethiopia and i tried to write it that way. I didn't intend to be racist. It may be suspicious because it isn't a general word. I saw it on an episode of Spelling Bee and the word kept staying in my mind (not the n-word, the word "negus") I wrote it but i didn't intend to use it in a racist way and even told my intention when I was blamed for it. I know that people can take it that way, but that isn't the thing that I intended. This is my first time being banned on any Minecraft server. I know it might not be believable but i had no intention to hurt or disrespect anyone in any way. I hope you will accept my appeal and wish you are having a great day.

First off, thank you for following our format and being respectful in your replies. I understand that you were banned for the use of a slur, which is strictly prohibited on skyblock. The word you used is considered a bypass for the n-word and therefore you were banned for it. We do not take the use of racist language lightly, whether intentional or not. I do not quite understand why you said the word in the first place, but I appreciate your apology and explanation. To continue the appeal process please explain to me in your own words why the use of slurs and offensive words is strictly forbidden on skyblock and how using them would impact the players around you. First of all, thanks for replying. I did my best to explain the situation in the format that you guys requested. The use of slurs and offensive words should be forbidden because Skyblock is a place where people relax, rest, and chill after maybe a rough day or just to spend some good time with the one you love and value. So it's supposed to be a peaceful and friendly environment. Any use of words that include slurs or could offend people's racial, religious or ethical values is a threat to ruin this environment, it could ruin people's days in general or damage another person's mental health. In the rules section it says in the paragraph titled "Inappropriate and disrespectful comments" it says that "Respect should be given to every player on the server despite our differences and any comments made with the intent of circling someone out or making someone uncomfortable will result in punishment." This means that any comment with an attempt of discrimination will be punished because we are all humans that come from different races, follow different religions and have ethical values that differ from one another. In the first two and the fourth parts of the code of conduct, it is clear that using foul language that offends other people is not taken kindly. Respect is an important value in today's society and the code of conduct makes sure to maintain the levels of respect stable. Have a good day as always, canooTR
