In my opinion I think it would be good if you added a /setspawn command to where you are standing so people can spawn in the part where you want them to on a block.

    Neutral,

What about the rulebreakers who set their spawnpoint on lava or the void?

Partial Support, i mean it would be alot better if they added this feature

maybe skyblock will force players to set spawnpoints on blocks instead of lava or void, you must have a block right under you and if it breaks the spawn would return to where the bedrock is located

It would be nice to have a system like player warps that is customised to avoid abuse. However that is what usually will happen when people have these systems.
I will say neutral. Because if there is a way that a warp system can be implemented with less opportunities for abuse to occur then I think it would be nice to have.

Neutral, just like in org where we used to set our own warps people would make death traps and it wasn't fun losing items.

Neutral, this would be very helpful, but it may be difficult to ensure that anyone visiting an island with a changed spawn point would be away from anything that may kill a player that visits the island.

Would be nice but ppl can abuse it.
Example: setting spawn on a block with a preassure plate thats connected to a piston that pushes ppl in to a freefall that ends in the void.

But if that issue is solved why not

And yes, ppl who does that will get banned on the way, but ppl will still fall victim for the crime on the way.

Support, I think this could be a good donor perk. However, there would have to be some way to avoid abuse of it.

neutral, it would be nice to be able to do, but at the same time its really not a big deal (to me anyways) to just build around the block where the original spawn is :)

This always has been an amazing idea, it’s been suggested so many times then they become inactive and then get closed. It’s such a shame that some people decide to build traps though, this can so easily be abused. It would have to be coded so that the command can’t be used if the player should spawn over lava or the void. It could also maybe be a Skyknight+ perk or something, I don’t know, just an idea. This would definitely be amazing, full support. :D

This is a terrible idea, which however can be made functional with little effort.

First of all, if you set your spawnpoint somewhere a piece of bedrock must be created right underneath that spawn point. The bedrock can only spawn if there is no block in its position, otherwise it will give an error message. If someone tries to set their spawn at y 1, there will also be an error message. (Bedrock cannot spawn at y 0)
This will satisfy Leeeroieee , as the server has a problem if the spawnpoint is over void.

Second of all, the 2 blocks above the bedrock must have the characteristic of a barrier block. No blocks may be placed in that region, no pistons may move into that region and no liquid may flow into that region. (1) This will ensure that if a player arrives at an island he is immune to damage. This is in theory fairly easy to code as the condition must be the bedrock y position (excluded) +2 y above it. If there is a block obstructing this region there must also be an error message like stated in point one.

Now it is a very good idea. I support it if these conditions are met. Otherwise there will be a lot of players abusing this feature.

    (1) This is possible. See: Pistons cannot move into other islands, servers with plotworlds
