Alright, first ADHD is technically not a disorder, its a chronic condition that can be treated. Second, trans is not a disorder its a sexual preference. And being trans does not make you retarded, its other people's beliefs and you cannot change it.

Times have changed. There is no reason to be using the words "retarded" or "queer". IMO, I think you were asking the question while fully intending to insult someone, based on how you worded it.

 

How about you just avoid using words which could be seen as rude or hurtful. There's the simple a solution. Just please stop trying to justify why you got muted for the right reason. I do believe in free speech but not speech that's hurtful or offensive.

free speech and being a jerk are two different things. don't even try to class transphobia as an opinion. an opinion is 'i don't like coffee', not something like 'transgender people are worse' (not saying OP said that, but it still files under transphobia). all in all, punishing people for saying things rude or discriminatory is not a negative, but a positive.

ADHD is, like he said, a disorder. It can't be treated, but it can in fact be managed. By saying treated, you are implying you can make it go away entirely. The medication provided for ADHD does not make it go away entirely, it simply just increases the level of dopamine in the brain, which fixes focus, but has nasty side effects sometimes. And this medication has to be taken on a daily bases, and it is never "fixing" the problem, but more so "managing it".

Also, as a pre-med student, I've learned to shy away from WebMD as much as possible. Mayo Clinic is a much more reliable source for this kind of information. Just a tip for the future

Even though mods are elected with the belief that they will ensure safety and create a just system for all players, at times we do see our freedom to speak infringed by mods. It's an even line on what you say and how you say it. Though I do believe, especially in private messaging, that our messages should be that. Ours. We should be able to say what we wish until it becomes a threat or a personal attack.
