It’s not fair to do this to gain an advantage over other players, my ban was deserved. I saw a mod checking out the island and realized that what I was doing is a stupid way to get money, especially since I could lose my entire island and my ability to play on the server. I was not thinking about the repercussions at the time, I have since familiarized myself with the rules and plan to follow them from now on. my brother ( .calicobog971238) was helping me to farm and build an island, so my 2 accounts (drippygodshawty & .kittykayss) were banned for gaining items from this. I spent the past day quickly removing and trashing contraband from those two accounts + island to try and avoid ban, but it was too late and I received a ban. For anything that is left, I’m okay with it being removed, I will gladly remove anything that mods want me to. I have since commissioned players to build for me with their own supplies instead of going to great lengths to get money quickly/cheaply like island farming. I have been a player since 2016 and would like to stay if possible. I will be better and not be a repeat offender. Hey Drippygodshawty thanks for your appeal, I'll get right into it. It's great to hear that you're so open about your punishment being correct. This is a huge step in terms of appeals. Thank you for being honest about how dumb the decision was to island farm and taking responsibility for your actions. Island farming gives you an unfair advantage over others and it sounds like you now realize that. As you farmed aprox 1k dirt using all your accounts combined, you were punished for 18 days. I'm happy to hear you've been trashing some of the blocks you illegally obtained. As a consequence for your island farming, I have removed all the dirt from your farm at .Kittykayss' island. (The moss and water are still there, so if you decide to rebuild with legitimate dirt, it should be easy to do. I have left all the seeds from the dirt I took in a chest near the farm.) As this is your first punishment, you were only punished with a temporary ban. Thanks Bree. Here is my own definition of the rules. ABUSING SERVER EXPLOITS AND BUGS Cheating or using bugs/glitches to gain advantage over other players is not allowed, any money and items gained from this will be taken away and you’ll be punished accordingly IRL TRADING You can’t trade in-game items for real life currency, trade in-game items for Minecraft accounts, or trade in-game items for perks in other games unrelated to Skyblock. if you’re ever unsure if you’re making a legal trade, just check skyblock’s list here. Punishment will occur if caught making an illegal trade! GRIEFING Damaging someone’s island such as pouring lava buckets, destroying builds, anything that causes major damage to their island is prohibited. LOOTING taking items from another player's island (or belongings from someone in co-op) and keeping them for yourself is against the rules. Private chests help prevent this to some degree, as you can store important belongings there and only YOU can SCAMMING Ripping off another player for example, promising to pay a player for an item, then taking their item and running off without paying them. Or extremely lowballing a new player on purpose to get rare items, (such as offering 1k for an eggnog or head) since they don’t know any better. Any form of scamming is illegal and will result in punishment PLAYER KILLING Player killing is when you have killed another user, for trolling purposes or skin competitions. If I participate in this, my items most likely won’t be refunded if they are lost in the void. ALTERNATE ACCOUNT LIMIT I cannot have more than 2 accounts on Economy, or more than 4 accounts on Skyblock at once ISLAND FARMING Do not repeatedly make new islands and store the goods from them to get items cheaply/freely as this gives you an unfair advantage over other players ILLEGAL TRADING Make sure the items you are trading are legal goods. You can see a list of illegal goods on skyblock’s website, and in-game a warning will appear when you try to drop illegal goods ILLEGAL HACKING Double check the hacks that are allowed on skyblock, make sure you don’t use any that are against the rules as this will result in punishment. Don’t use any of them (even legal hacks) at public warps. ADVERTISING Don’t advertise any other servers or links that you gain commission from, it will result in punishment. BLACKMAIL AND THREATS Don’t use personal info against players, and any threats made to players will result in a permanent ban. Posting any real names, addresses, or anything that leads to a player’s identity is prohibited. INAPPROPRIATE BUILDS Don’t build structures in game that contain inappropriate visuals, racial slurs, vulgar language, and symbols associated with major world events that may be sensitive. It’ll be removed by mods and will result in punishment INAPPROPRIATE USERNAMES/SKINS Inappropriate usernames (a few being racial slurs, explicit material, offensive names) or skins are not allowed and will result in punishment and/or banning from skyblock until the skin or name is changed. INAPPROPRIATE AND DISRESPECTFUL COMMENTS Respect the community and don’t comment negatively on race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, personal values, beliefs, or ethnicity. Being offensive and rude will result in punishment & overall isn’t acceptable. MALICIOUS LINKS Don’t paste links that lead to inappropriate, offensive, or harmful material such as an IP grabber NICKNAME ABUSE Don’t impersonate staff or players by changing your nickname to their IGN, and don’t change nickname to anything inappropriate or offensive CHAT OFFENCES No spamming in chat, don’t be rude to other players FALSE REPORTING Making up false claims about a player to have them banned or punished PUNISHMENT EVASION Logging into an alternate account to evade a ban and continue playing without consequences
Hi Drippygodshawty , thank you for your response with the rule summaries. I think it's clear that you have true remorse and will hopefully be dedicated to following the rules from here on out. I have decided that I will be reducing your bans on all your accounts to 5 days each. (This applies only to the accounts that have punishments over 5d long at the time of posting this. Any account with a ban lower than 5 days will remain as they are). Hopefully this punishment is a deterrent from breaking the rules in the future. One final thing before I lower your punishments, could you please assure me in writing below that you will follow the rules and code of conduct from now on?
