ye it sounds like British Airways knows is being proactive with their workforce and devoting it to fight covid-19. I wish the US airlines here would do the same. Instead its just massive layoffs and people waiting for that government payout
US airlines are a lot more financially resilient because they don’t have hubs as such. I don’t think some uk airlines and even European airlines will survive this
as far as I've read, Flybe ceased operations. The rest just slashed almost all their flights. A few suspended operations for about a month. Norwegian might crash tbh
Actually, we do and LOTS. LA is an important hub for American, United, Delta, and Alaska. A lot of major cities in the US are important hubs for some major airlines
Trust me, America has some of the highest demand for air travel. You have so many airlines like delta, American, jetblue(v nice airline), Southwest, Alaska, United etc and we only have ba and virgin both of which are fighting for survival as the government said they won’t pump money into them earsofjoy:
you got easy jet, TUI, and maybe Loganair idk (used to be Thomas cook but they went bye-bye) don't forget that bruv. And RIP. Im more worried for BA mainly of their 747s I wanna ride in them one day ;-;
My most memorable trip was when we were offered some tickets in world traveller plus to Toronto (mum is a cabin crew manager for BA) so we were like sure. coincidentally it was the first ever flight with their new a350 or something so there was free food and snacks and we got bumped up to the new business class
