    • Punished account name: _iAlex
    • Platform or server punished on: Skyblock
    • Ban message if applicable: N/A
    • Have you read the rules? With my brief absence, I’ve taken the liberty to fully read the rules and code of conduct of the server and I believe I have a full understanding of the rules and what is expected of me playing on the server.
    • Do you think this punishment was incorrect? After consulting with many players of the server - staff included I’ve come to terms with my punishment and I now see why I was given the punishment I received. No, I don’t believe it was incorrect.
    • Why should you be unmuted?: Let me just start off by saying, I want to sincerely apologize for all my past actions. Not only to the staff team but to the players of the server that were hurt or offended by any of the comments I’ve made in the past. I’m here to tell you and everyone that I strongly believe I have changed and will continue to change into a better person not only on the server but in real life as well. There is no excuse and will never be an excuse for any of my actions in the past. The answer is that I was simply being inconsiderate and insensitive to other players and staff members' feelings. I am sorry. I will make a commitment not only to myself but to everyone who plays Skyblock to be a better, more helpful, and all-around more friendly player. No one should have a negative experience whilst playing a video game because a lot of people use gaming as stress-relief or just an escape from day to day life and no one should take that away from them and I’m sorry I did in the past but I will not do that anymore. I’ve seen how much negativity I’ve brought upon the server with just my words and there is truly nothing else I can say except I sincerely am sorry and I just ask for one last chance. All I want to do is communicate with members of the community and my close friends. I do not wish to be disrespectful to anyone anymore regardless of their position on the server. That is my commitment not only to you but to myself. Thank you for your time.
    • Please list any other times you were punished on Skyblock: I was banned a few years ago for griefing and a few months ago for major disrespect and harassment.
    • If you know, tag the staff member that muted you: I’m not 100% sure who muted me but the last staff member to respond was Pancake
    • Do you understand and accept our rules and code of conduct? As stated above, I have taken my brief absence to seriously better myself not only as a player but as a human being. During this absence, I took the time to fully read and understand the rules of the server and the code of conduct. I can 100% assure you if unmuted I will to the best of my ability not break any of the rules or interfere with any of the codes of conduct.

    Hello Alex,

Thank you for taking the time to re-appeal. I would like to begin by acknowledging your apology. It is appreciated along with your progression and your endeavour to become a better person. However, an apology doesn't always assure us that you have changed and reflected on your actions.

I would like to mention that you have apologized for your actions however you haven't acknowledged what exactly that is.

Again, I appreciate you endeavouring to better yourself and I appreciate your apology. Please could you expand and explain in further context what you are apologizing for and to who. I appreciate your honesty in replying to appeal questions.

    Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to reply Pancake. I want to take a moment to apologize for my absence as I have pondered how to respond to this for a couple of days. I have no problem owning up and openly admitting exactly what I said and who exactly I said it to however, it’s been quite some time since my initial muting. Many of the comments I made back then are unclear to me now so all I can really do is apologize to anyone I’ve hurt with my rude or demeaning comments. More importantly in respect to Borahae (Krissy) and PieCake and any other player that I have made rude or distasteful remarks to. I also want to apologize to the lgbtq+ community the types of comments I made to this group, in particular, are not only incredibly rude but many could consider it cyberbullying and discrimination against ones’ particular views or beliefs. I never meant to make anyone feel uncomfortable for who they are or who they choose to be especially online. Everyone has the right to feel safe and sound especially on a such a friendly community as Skyblock and I had no right to take away that security from this group. I am here to reassure and say that I know the rules relating to homophobia and cyberbullying on the server and how it is not allowed in any circumstance and I’m also here to tell everyone that I will uphold that rule to the best of my ability. Thank you for your time.

Apologies for the absence of a reply,

I'd like to thank you for taking the time to respond and answer my questions throughout this appeal. As explained in your previous appeal, permanent punishments aren't those which we forgive easily. A person must continue to show a commitment to the server and it's community and work towards proving their behaviors have changed. Second chances aren't easy to give after they have been long abused and can't be given just after an apology.

As of now, I can identify the progress you've made in acknowledging the comments and chat offences which resulted in your mute, however as of right now, we don't see someone who is particularly interested in the server and it's community. We understand that the inability to speak in-game may create difficulties to remain motivated and committed, however we do offer other platforms that can be used to engage yourself with the community in. For the mean time, you are still free to play the game and use our other platforms (forums, and discord) to further show your motivation, reasons to change, and to put actions towards your apology.

I hope you can understand why we cannot just hand out a second chance at this moment in time.
