I’m going with no support for now. Your suggestion has no detail in my opinion. Are you able to explain the following for others and myself if possible: What is a stock market? (Yes, I’m not sure what it is, if it’s something general, it’s something I’m unaware of, so I would like an explanation) What will this “stock market” do? How is this going to be effective on Economy? What are the pros of this suggestion? How would this operate? And some extra information on why your suggestion should be implemented. I would love if you can answer these questions and add some more information as this would better develop your suggestion and let others, including myself, know what the purpose of your idea is. : ) *I’d also appreciate if the thread owner replies to this.
Scrap the stock market, because realistically we aren't trading shares for a percentage of a company in minecraft. My suggestion is a bitcoin market. A bitcoin exchange acts as the intermediary between a seller and a buyer or, to use cryptocurrency language, between a "maker" and a "taker." A bitcoin exchange works like a brokerage, and you can deposit money via bank transfer, wire, and other common means of deposit. And the premise is simple, when the value of bitcoin in eco drops, you buy in hopes that the price will rise. If it does, you can sell it at the newly risen price for a profit. Its exactly like buying voter keys for 900, and reselling them in a month for 1200. But in this case, its not trading items, you are trading an exchange (bitcoin). This would only work in eco because the currency is money, rather than grass. It would operate just like how you would normally trade. But in Minecraft its different of corse. As far as developing a plugin for this, i am unaware. But I think it could be possible to code a market, and use graphs. /bitcoin. (shows a graph of the current price, and history of the price). If the price goes down, so will the line, or bar of the graph. I am personally a trader in the capital markets, and feel I can better explain in a vc if required. Thanks for the consideration!
Thanks for clarifying this. I’m still going to be no supporting this suggestion. Personally, this seems very mature (not in an inappropriate/crude way, but an adult, financial thing). You seem to be bringing up a suggestion which involves loads of mind and thinking. The server is designed for children and up, mind that some of our audience are children. They’re not going to be interested in stuff like this. We would want easy, understandable and fun plugins that would help bring more of an audience and attract and make others stick to our server. Personally though, your suggestion is not bad. I just don’t think it should be implemented. Sorry.
