Nether quartz ore is now craftable from netherrack and nether quartz using a custom recipe on the /skyblock server:

While the previous restrictions on silk touch and drop rates continue to apply in the Nether, quartz ore placed in the overworld follows normal Minecraft mechanics with regard to drop rates and enchants.

With this change, all ores are now obtainable legitimately in-game and are legal to own and trade.

We are pleased to announce a few new features on the /skyblock server:

• We've added support for commands from a public skyblock plugin used on other servers, to help new players get started if they're not familiar with our custom server
• We've added an ore generator capability:
  • Cobblestone and stone generators now have a chance to produce coal, redstone, lapis, gold and iron ore
  • Players are free to use silk touch and fortune on these ores if they want to, and they are legal to own and trade
• Diamond and emerald ores are now craftable using two new recipes:
  • 
  • Diamond and emerald ores created this way are legal to own or trade
  • Placed diamond and emerald ores can be picked up using silk touch if desired
