You want staff to be so strict? If abbreviations with foul language don't become allowed, before you know it you can't said "oml", or "omg" because those have "lord" and "god" in it, and some people take offence to that being used in abbreviations like "oh my god".

Personally, I don't think these should be "illegal" etc. etc. But the kind that should be punishable: using abbreviations to tell people things like "kys".

but then again, just my opinion. ;^)
