Now this may seem like a silly idea although this could help grreatly when mods need to undo certain things, rather than having a full access world edit plugin it could be tweaked, this could save time with rollbacks and the growing issue of greifs.

 

The misuse of any World Edit commands can drastically affect the game, I don't really support the idea.

Way too much abuse. I would love to say I trust all the mods, and I do most of them, but there have been corrupt ones in the past, and the possibility of extreme damage is too risky for me to support!

World edit is too OP for anyone except admins.

 

Not even that. World edit provides the means to get around most to all plugins that provide limitations. Ex: Moderator's with World Edit will be able to get around World Guard.

Also, World Edit provides the means to crash/break the server.

There have been abusive moderator's in the past. If one, JUST ONE Moderator abused World Edit, then the server could be damaged - Extremely, if not permanently.

Besides, Moderator's have log block. This provides the means to rollback, already - along with many other handy grief-handling permissions and commands. Although, I'm unsure as to whether they get all the permissions they need? I'm no mod, so I don't know.

 

I used to have World Edit on .org, let's just say 90% of the crashes were my fault.
Lol. It's not needed for us to have it.

 

I've seen CypriotMerks use World Edit to try to fix the broken skybase on .net and lets just say I can't imagine seeing a non-admin do this.

 

I wouldn't recommend this because abuse could come with it or lag. (Abuse like diamond blocks being duped by it.)

 

I agree. But also disagree.

I don't think mods should have it, but I do think that supermods should have SOME aspects of it. for example, cut and paste (Not copy) would be a great help, //sphere tnt would DEFINITELY be out. They already have /rollback. In total, I do not agree, but some aspects of it would be useful for SOME, VERY, TRUSTED supermods to have as only admins can do things.

P.s Supermods should have the ability to change skygod color prefixes as the admins have to deal with more important stuff than just changing the colors of a skygod.
