srsly, only like 5 people are on there, the owners might aswell save their money and focuse on net. If anyone has any legitmate and logical reasoning on why org should still exist, feel free to comment
Org won't be going down for a while, it's going to be used as the DP server since there's 10x times less lag on that server.
Guys there is a new Reason org wont shut down!! The festive Droppartys will be hosted there bc it can handle 300+ players without lag! thats y Cyp wont shut it down until the problems with net are fixed!!
There are people there who are banned from .net, also there are people who bought a rank there and they have a big balance, they worked really hard on their islands
they aren't wasting any money, servers (.NET and .ORG + Mineverse) are all hosted on the same dedicated server.
The economy server will still be up, because there are players who are ranked there and players who love to play in peace.
.ORG's player base may not be big but it does still have one. Also, as stated by others it will be the new location for drop parties.
Honestly, aside from all of this, us org donors would pretty much all chargeback, as most of us major donors only play(ed) there, so unless Cyp wants to lose roughly $2,000 to chargebacks, he probably wont talk with Crew about shutting it down. Also, I have 116 spawners on org, and I didn't do all of that work for nothing ._. (roughly 11.6m when sold)
Tbh I went to org for a year and a half as net was too noisy to handle (300-400) now net is like 100 people? So I converted back to net. Yet I lose the feel of the org community
Because the economy server still makes money. Economy has a higher donor-to-non-donor ratio for it's player base when compared to the survival server. Meaning, that even though there are significantly less people playing there, those who do play have spent a lot of money. Despite more people play on the survival server, most of those players don't donate, therefore generating no income. Furthermore, many of those who play on survival have also donated on economy, and shutting down the economy server could cause not only native-economy players to quit, but also survival players who have paid for the economy server. Closing down the server would be a lose-lose situation for the owners, because they don't lose any money by keeping the server up.
