I do nothing wrong, but you either kick or mute me! So everyone is talking about this /testcommand which I tried and nothing happened. Then I tell people that the command is stupid because everyone is asking about it and Lemonade kicks me. I asked why and he said not to say that command when 20 other people keep saying it in chat. Then today, I put down "<< SELLING >> DIAMOND for 32 grass. /msg me!" I got muted for 10 minutes...
Testcommand can be easily abused so you may get kicked or temp-banned. As for when you were advertising your shop, were you possibly spamming it? Anyways, he's doing what he needs to do as a mod.
It seems like he was just doing his job, If you want a answer for yourself you can tag or PM him. Just don't cause any issues [I'm not saying you are] or this thread can be easily locked.
Though its already been said, Id like to reiterate it. If you have a problem with the action any mod is taking, making a public thread about it isnt the best of things to do. You could have easily just sent Lemo a pm or ask him ingame. As getting down to why you think he "hates you"... Hes just doing his job. I see three things that you had a concern about and will try to address them. 1. You got kicked for saying stuff about /testcommand, which is per the rules. If you start talking about if, people will get curious, then you have a big ol' group of people spamming it because they think its cool. It would create more unneeded work for any moderator online. 2. You say that he punished you and not the "20 other people" who kept saying it in chat. Well, you cant know that those other people didnt get punished, honestly. Theres a lot that goes on behind the scenes, things that you cant see. All of those people may of served a punishment, some of them may have gotten a warning, a kick, or a mute. You can be sure of what really happened, so you cant make the assumption that there was no action taken. 3. The whole selling diamonds thing, I imagine you were either muted for caps or spam. Who knows how many times he had to warn you beforehand, but a mute was not out of line at all. In conclusion, as Ive already said, if you have a problem with what a moderator is doing, ask them in a pm either here or ingame. If its a serious, reoccurring problem and you'd like it looked at by other mods, report it. As for this thread, I dont see it going anywhere bad, however, if I see if becoming offtopic or any flaming, I will not hesitate to lock it. tl;dr If you have a problem with the action a moderator is taking; ask them in a pm here or ingame why the action was taken or report it if its a serious problem.
Well I definitely wasn't spamming in chat. Maybe it was caps, but wouldn't most of the message have to be in caps for that? As for /testcommand, I wasn't advertising it. Someone mentioned it in chat and then everyone was asking what it did. I tried it and told them what happens and then got kicked. Idk, if things get out of hand I will definitely contact another mod. I just don't understand why nothing like this has happened to me before until he got promoted.
Well, this may not have happened beforehand for a number of reasons. Could be that there were no mods on at the time, could be that there were mods on and they overlooked it, could be that there were mods on who ignored it. Regardless, though, he wasnt out of line, rather, he was doing his job. But yeah, that's about as much as Im going to participate in this. You have my opinion, no use in dragging this out more.
A lot of the time moderators make decisions for the good of the server but they may not make too much sense to you. Publicly calling out a mod will only worsen your relationship with them and I would suggest making a private conversation with them instead.
As people have said. Other than that, you may not have been treated this way before becuase every mod treats players differently. For example, if I saw someone spamming I would kick them three times before a 5m mute, however other mods like Lemo and Krissy straight up mute for 10m. It's just how Lemo moderates, and as Joe said, if you have a major issue with him report it.
1. Test Command is very spammy and gets you tempbanned for using it as it is technically a "bug" Mentioning it, even to help someone could set it off. I assume its either because you said /testcommand which is the command. People may try it out. We dont want people to spread it around. 2. Some mods are stricter than others. The point is follow the rules, they are there for a reason. If you cant find the rule, message a mod. 3. Please try and pm the mod before you "shame". its not necessary.
When there's a lot going on, with a bunch of spam and caps, especially when you're the only moderator on, it gets hectic. I muted you for over excessive caps. First, however, you said the name of the command (/testcommand) so I told you not to even mention the name of the command, as it would cause a bigger spam than net already has, as well as people wanting to try it out. And I surely don't hate you. I have no reason to even think of hating you.
