i lost 1k posts when the forums were hacked but other than that no idea lol

I lost a couple today, but lost all my posts when the forums were hacked.

 

Wasn't Maxi's old message count at like +3K?
Also, I lost all these posts in just 10 minutes, not when the forums got hacked.

 

Moderators are probably deleting threads and that is decreasing your post count.

When threads are hard deleted, like ones from those "count to 10000 before your mom posts" threads, you lose them.

Those threads are normally in discussion, which, last time I check, do not affect your post count.

 

Threads you have posted on in discussion are being moved to Off-Topic, which gives no postcount, therefor you're losing the postcount.

 

Thanks for telling us Zambiana. If we were to request posts in Off-Topic affect message count, would it be auto-denied?
Also, why are they being moved in the first place!?

 

Because they were spammy.
That's the point of off-topic, a spam section that isn't meant to affect your post count.

That rule slipped past us all, so now mods are moving all Off-Topic stuff to Off-Topic. It probably will, after-all postcount is just a number.

 

This is like the RBXDev lounge all over again, except the posts were locked, not deleted (and some thread makers got RBXDev bans).

 

Uhm, this might be my fault actually. I've been archiving old Discussion threads since gravedigging is against the rules anyway. Didn't realize posts in the archive didn't count. ;-; Sorry guys, but I'll probably be doing more later... needed some clean up.
