I had a bad and unfair experience as a moderator on Mineverse thanks to a few certain people. So I wanted to try here just for the hell of it, + I like helping people.
The reason I wish to become mod, is to help out the server. It's not popularity, and it's not power. I Literally just want to help out with the server. I aspire to help others, and do my best to make others happy. So I guess you could say it's out of morality..
What makes you want to help that differs you from the hundreds of other members that just want to help? Why can't you just help as a non mod? What are you going to do to help?
Very good questions. What makes me want to help that differs? Well It's actually somewhat of a part of my religious belief, and that is we are to be a light to the world (That don't mean I will be preaching and attempting to convert people, I don't do that) Why can't you just help as a non mod? Well you see, as a non mod, I am not capable to ban or kick (Not that I aim to do that), I have done what I can as a non-mod, but they won't take me as seriously as they do mods. What are you going to do to help? A lot of things. oh my. I plan on being available at times that other mods can't. I also will try to make a different in forums as well (Of course I can do that as non-mod). Simply put, I am going to be as diligent about it as I can.
1st question you didn't answer . You just said its part of your religion? Many people on this server have religion too? 2nd question Can't you report them? Easy fix? 3rd question 1st point is very good but I'm confused how are you going to make forums better? What are you actually going to do?
I did answer the first question you asked what differs from hundreds of others, and there are probably hundreds of others who don't see things as I do. I can report them, however, as mod, I would be able to instantly kick/ban/mute them right away. How am I going to make forums better? Well, I think that you won't really see until that happens, sometimes it requires actions more than it does words to see that someone means what they say.
I'm just here to help out and kill time. I know that the way I do things would benefit the server, I'm sure many others feel the same way.
Well, I think I would want to be a mod because I just love helping people out whenever I get the chance If I were to get Moderator, I could be more noticeable to people in need of assistance. That's why I would want to be a mod.
How if it's really helping out? As a mini-mod the only tool you have to help out is Chat. See above. You don't have 1/10 of the Tools as a mini-mod you have as a full mod. That's also you don't see full mods actually much in Chat as they can do all the BackOffice work. Which is a load of work. What has Age actually to do with this? Aren't adults entitled to choose their Hobby much as Teenies do? I'm 34 and playing a block game SO WHAT? Others are even older and want to moderate SO WHAT? I can only wish you to not loose some of what you obviously now think is "childish behaviour" when you grow up so you don't become a grumpy old fart. "Nothing better to do" what a condescending remark. Everyone needs to have some distraction every once in a while, and if moderating a block game server helps then it is the better thing to do, period.
I applied because I missed moderating, as I genuinely enjoyed the task, and for a time, helping people and solving issues was fun. Learning the way of moderating and finding my feet on the team was enjoyable, as each team and server is different and has different needs.
mods tryna defend themselves saying moderating is hard n s*** when honestly u dont do anything but talk crap about players in staff chat n pretending ur doing some lawful work preaching justice but y'all don't do nothing lmao
I wanna be a mod because I would like to help people, this server is great small, but powerful server in which I would like to help keep clean and safe.
Cheesy Said 'How could you help? Why don't you report the scammers and they are dealt with, donating has NOTHING to do with moderating and as well you could do that without mod, just report chat scam and that already helps the server out? I don't see the points you are trying to say? ' I already mentioned how I can help. Okay, the second question; What I'm saying mods do not have to donate, it's their choice if they would like to. Third question; I am just putting up examples of how mods can help. I am not just saying that's the ONLY way to help. Also, reporting does not give the person back their items. Many mods, I mean many mods give their stuff back/donating.
Okay, I am 13, in Canada. Being a mod is very important and it is very like a job. You know how a job really feels like to ready yourself when you're older. You are asked more questions and I am glad to answer them.
When I applied 4 years ago I did it because I wanted to help people more. I loved helping people whether it was on a silly minecraft server or in the real world, but that was me when I was barely 13, now I'm 17 in 3 days. Moderating was honestly really fun and I met a lot of great people because of it. I don't regret applying on this server. Helping isn't really my thing anymore, of course I'm still a mod on TeamSpeak but I really enjoy using TS so I don't mind helping there. If I were to reapply later on it would be more of to make a change, but I don't want to drag myself back into the server because I have more important things to focus on.
