What is it you want out of being mod.

Indeed exactly what I feel lots of people the majority of applicants want. Just to see the juicy staff drama in those private chats. I've read things from there and trust me it's tempting to be apart of :^)

 

I don't wanna get staff cause I got a lyfe and I don't like cyp or crew or the people on this sever (a few exceptions) very much...

 

Sad thing is you can't like crew when nobodies like ever talked to him... Apparently he's actually a very good admin when's he is active, but as of right now he's not.

 

Okay, First of all! You gave us 2 options;Popularity or Power. I choose popularity. Second of all, various tasks could be banning the scammer, giving others their stuff back if they got scammed, I would personally do that to be kind, and what ever situations that I need to fix/solve. How could I help?; I would help by removing scammers, donating to others and reducing the chat scam. I do actually help now. I have helped many people in-game by building and donating and answering questions of the perks.

 

I just wanna help out the community more with scamming, user reports, grief's etc.
I don't really want it to be more popular, have a new rank/prefix, and so on.

 

One who is ultimately bored and believes they have managed to do all the possible goals one can aim for and accomplish on these servers finds Mod to be the last sort of accomplishment. Evidently this isn't everybody, but when it comes to a few, they want to 'complete' their experience with a rank that cannot be purchased, but rather earned.

I think he wasn't really trying to insult you or moderators but rather looking for answers such as Flow 's
just because you have a previous knowledge of the thread author not liking certain staff doesn't mean that they are always out to get you guys

I never gave you the two to pick from. I used those two as an example of what I feel everyone applies for. You didn't have to pick one.

You have already said you'd give back the persons items anyway? What difference is it with the mod rank? Just report the scammer and live on?

Personally do it to be kind? No no no that's the criteria of being mod anyways, and I suppose they do volunteer for the server if you put it that way, but if they don't do it out of kindness, and make these mistakes, they'll easily be demoted. No no no. It's not kindness in my opinion.

How could you help? Why don't you report the scammers and they are dealt with, donating has NOTHING to do with moderating and as well you could do that without mod, just report chat scam and that already helps the server out? I don't see the points you are trying to say?

Fair enough, all I'm trying to prove is that it's just as easy to do so without the mod rank with the reporting system.

Well put and this I completely agree with. But this is again benefiting themselves and not the actually server. So is it all out of self benefit to be mod?

understand your mistake, but I'd still like you to reply why you really want mod. You can already help out with reporting, mini modding, etc. what changes?

 

Exactly what this thread was questioning. Though as I've seen you and others say in other threads, I highly doubt we'll get a reply as usual. The fight and flight tactic isn't always the best one to take in my opinion though I do pray for a decent argument.

 

Ah, like I'm happy now, just helping to the max I'm able to, but I wanna start dealing with reports, scams, etc. Like I don't do much besides helping and mini-modding currently.

 

So what really interests you is dealing with reports and rather than being the reporter you're the banner? No offence as there isn't a problem with it and you're being honest with it which is great, is it a power thing you want? The power to deal with reports and banning? Or is it to have a quicker process to deal with those crimes committed?

Oh, you gotta be kidding me. It is even not the mods job to give refunds. It's the mods choice if they would like to. They do not HAVE to do it, it is on how kind they are or if they don't have those items.

People want to moderate a Minecraft server because it's not like they can actually achieve anything else in life.
