Hello lads, I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can talk about our interests and passions outside of Skyblock. Particularly related to study and work. School is something I personally really enjoy so it would be nice to know more about other players interests. Also keep in mind this is totally optional and is for players to find other people who may have niche interests like their own. What do you study? If you are planning on studying, what do you plan on studying? What is your major? What is your minor? What are your plants after graduation? (Eg: Postgraduate, research, find a job) What subjects have you been really enjoying this year? Any particular units? Any subjects you hate or really dislike so far? And... If you work, what is your field of work? If you have already graduated, what did you study?
If you are planning on studying, what do you plan on studying? Health Sciences or Biology What is your major? - What is your minor? - What are your plants after graduation? (Eg: Postgraduate, research, find a job) Go to University What subjects have you been really enjoying this year? Any particular units? AP Science is really fun right now! Chem is pretty cool. (Eg: Postgraduate, research, find a job) Find a job where I program remotely What subjects have you been really enjoying this year? Any particular units? I really enjoy my web scripting class, we learn a new language or facet of a language every other week, which is really interesting. However, my professor is difficult to understand at times. (I'm adding this one in) Worst subject? discrete mathematics. Terrible subject and the professor makes no sense.
Theatre kid!!! And good choice on Food Tech because at least you get to leave with pancakes xx I hated careers at high school too but at least we got to muck around in class Computer science is awesome!!! What languages do you know? I might be learning R for one of my electives !
I’m studying child psychology in college right now, next year I plan to go to university to continue studying child psychology (between 5-7 years) and then plan to get a job as a child psychologist/counsellor. I only do this subject but I’ve had my heart set on it since I was younger, and can happily say I’m still eager to pursue this dream.
I am studying social work. I will finish middle of this year. I plan to get a job in a mental health field so I can become a mental health accredited social worker and I will be able to become a therapist.
My plans for after graduation is to find a job (Probably tutoring) and go to college. I've enjoyed doing math since middle school although the last 2 years were kinda stressful for me. My least favorite subject has been science for as long as I can remember. Recently has shifted over to chemistry but mostly cause I took the class online. I really like engineering, my future goals for majors are Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or Computer Engineering.
I'm studying artificial intelligence. It's a lot of math and computer science and I enjoy it a lot. Still have many years and decisions ahead, but I've at least thought of doing a PhD in AI when I'm done. As a career I don't have plans yet.
What is your major? Photography! What is your minor? Video & Film Production What are your plants after graduation? (Eg: Postgraduate, research, find a job) I have a love for Sports/Action Photography, so my hope after graduating is to find a job related to Sports Photography. Before I die, I would love to say that I have been an NFL Photographer, which is my dream job. If Photography fails me, I am minoring in Video & Film Production and would love to be on a camera/directing crew that films movies. What subjects have you been really enjoying this year? Any particular units? I've loved studying Black & White Photography so far. (Old film cameras, developing prints in a dark room, etc.... all from the old days) Any subjects you hate or really dislike so far? Not currently. And... If you work, what is your field of work? Currently a Videographer & Video Editor for a D1 College Football team. Love every second of it!
I'm pretty much fluent in Java, and I've been doing it for about 4 years so far. Currently this semester in Web Scripting we are dabbling in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, PHP, Node.js, and Python. In Databases I'm also learning SQL. I'm planning on taking an online class to learn Python as well.
