When you have villagers on your own island, you should be able to trade with them. Just a thought.

 

Villager trading works on skyblock.org

It does not work on skyblock.net due to the fact that a plugin overtakes all villager trading systems, and uses it for the shops. Changing up that plugin isn't a very viable option, although I have no idea what crew's plans are for it in the future.
