I cannot use my /repair or /fix commands can you help me please

I haven't had this issue for a while. Does it happen on all items, or only specific ones?

 

Does it says something like "error: null"?? from what i believe on how to fix the item u wanna repair is to make it maybe slightly more broken..inform me if u try this way

Put it in an anvil and rename it. It'll fix the glitch if it occurs on certain items.
