Hello there! Welcome to the world of Poké- I mean, welcome to my mod app! There are a couple things I would like to say before I begin. First, thank you for clicking on my app! I appreciate it deeply. Thank you for any support you guys may have, and thank you for any constructive criticism you may have because you’ll allow me to correct what I’m doing wrong. I hope that you find my app worth reading, enjoyable, and considerable. Without further ado, I present to you my application for Skyblock.org moderator: Your in-game name: UpsettedFizz How old are you? I am 14 years old. What timezone are you in? US EST, or GMT -5 What country do you live in? United States of America What languages do you speak? English, and a little bit of Spanish. Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) I have never been banned, on .net, .org, or any other server, and I plan to keep it that way. Why do you think you should be a mod? I think I should be mod for various reasons. I have all the necessary qualifications and experience. I am a fast typist, allowing me to respond to the maximum amount of players at once. I know what it’s like to be a moderator. I’ve been under the pressure of a million people calling for my help at once, I’ve been faced with the spammers, griefers, advertisers, and so on. I believe I’ve acted accordingly in my past, that I’ve performed the right action to minimize their threat to the server. I am a mature and responsible individual that can handle the position. My trial will show what kind of moderator I can be. What qualifications do you have? I have many qualifications. A few are listed above, but that’s only a fraction of it. I know all the default player commands, so if a player would need help performing one, I’d be able to tell them what to do. I also know all the moderation commands and how and when they should be used. Additionally, I have some experience with commands that usually only the administration receives, such as WorldEdit and PermissionsEx. All of that isn’t even close to what a moderator needs to have. What I believe every mod needs is the ability to get along with other players, staff included, smoothly and effectively. The many traits listed below grant me this ability: Smart: I am a straight-A student. Along with the book smarts comes common sense, the ability to multitask, and emerging successful from even the toughest of situations. I’m not easily fooled. You’d have to be some sort of mastermind to do that. While I’m getting information on a grief/scam, I can be answering another player’s question via PM or public chat. Lastly, I’ll know what to do in even the messiest of situations. Funny: I’m not one of those people that are always serious. I can enjoy a laugh. I try to crack some jokes, although they’re not always the best. I also laugh at the jokes other people make, even if they aren’t that funny. Serious: To supplement what was said above, I know when it’s time to take the reigns and get control of things. If the jokes start getting out of hand, I know when to say that’s enough. Mature: I am very mature for my age. I know how to act depending on the situation. I take everything with a grain of salt, unless of course, it’s something that is completely serious and demands my attention. Kind: Something I find very important, I am kind. Would you want somebody that’s mean helping you out? I wouldn’t. That’s why I think being kind is very important for a mod to be. Honest: I don’t lie. There’s no point. Somebody’s going to find out what happened one way or another, so why make it a secret in the first place? Optimistic: I always try to look on the bright side of things. If I see someone who feels down, I’ll do my best to cheer that player up. I always try to look ahead of the terribleness in front of me and focus on the positive things. Social: If I’m online, my name will be in chat. Guranteed. I love talking to people. To me, it’s half of moderating. If you can’t talk to someone, then how on earth would you moderate? It can’t be done. Other than that, I try to make new friends, and keep up the relationships with the ones I already have. Calm: I can remain calm even if I’m literally pulling my hair out from stress. Have I raged? Yes, but moderating on a Minecraft server is not even close to a cause. Even while doing things that are extremely frustrating, I rarely get angry. Role Model: I do my best to set an example for other players to follow. My goal is to have them act with all of the traits I have and will mention. I always try to leave a positive influence. Respectful: I am respectful of anyone and everyone who plays on a server. I don’t appreciate it when people disrespect me, so I make sure I don’t do the same to others. Dedicated: With the fun that comes with moderating, I also know what my duty is. I make sure that I complete what has to be done each day, and that it is done correctly. I do my best to help the community in every way I can. How long can you be active on the server everyday? How long I can be on the server depends on what I have going on that day. Some days, my availability is limited, and others I can be on for hours. The minimum amount of time I would be on in one day would be an hour. However, my average would be about 2-4 hours a day, and the maximum would be 8 hours. How long have you been playing skyblock.org? I have been playing on skyblock.org for about a year. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Yes, I am currently an Admin on a Skyblock server. I was a ChatMod on Snozzlebot’s server, and I was also an Admin on a hub server before it was shut down. Thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope that you found it to be a good application. Support. Fizz is very helpful and mature. He is able to handle servers with a player base that org has. He has all the qualities that a moderator should have. He is friendly, active, helpful and much more. I hope I will be able to moderate with him on org in the near future!
