Skyblock Games​

I have played Skyblock since 2012/13 and sometimes when I finish building, I get a little bored at times.
I thought of a concept/idea or a Skyblock games. Yes, there is Mineverse but, I thought if they implement a new idea of a Skyblock related game.

One idea I had was maybe like a easy, simple game. You don't need rewards or anything such but purely to interact with players and make friends on the server. New players tend to find it difficult to find friends on the server to play with.

Yes there is the Mob Arena but there should be more. Possibly, /games opens up a tab and you can chose games or something. I have seen other servers implement these too. All rules of Mob Arena should apply to the games.

PRO's

- Games to play with friends.
- Something new and unique to Skyblock.
- A Fun experience for new players.
- Something to get more people to play.
- A trial to see how it goes.

CON's

- Lag could be caused to players.
- Developers may not have time to waste on this.
- Devs may move there focus
- Skyblock server not a game server.

Any more you want to add, please do and feel free to disagree or agree and state why this will or will not work. I would love to hear your ideas and responses.

There is /pvp but apparently to some people it’s not working. I haven’t been on my pc to try it out and I kinda don’t want to. But yea support.

Because just playing on a skyblock server isn’t fun anymore and playing another game is useless! Imagine that!

 

I think this might be a cool addition, however they should not add more than one or two if they end up adding any. Skyblock should still be the main focus, not the games.

 

Support! This can be great to further increase the player base!

 

Neutral, this is solely a Skyblock survival server, with added bonuses to make playing a little easier and to get a form of reward (/ma j and PvP). If you want games and minigames, Mineverse - the "sister server" - is always available to you.

MV has Skywars, and Skygrid, which still keeps the Skyblock feel alive, if that's what you want.

 

Neutral. This is a skyblock server but the idea of having little minigames doesn't sound bad.

Have to agree with Andi, but I would like to see what they could come up with. Games like skywars and such would fit because its sky related.

Server has enough issues as is.
Devs need to focus on fixing the lag.

Gosh that color is hard to use. Maybe next time write in a darker color?
And Neutral. Maybe some little chat games can be added like "unscramble" and maybe "trivia questions"?

Chat idea is interesting, but the lag and resources thing is still a problem

 

Sorry about that. On my laptop, the colours are different for my vision so I have to alter them so I can see things on my laptop because the default setting on my laptop battles with my vision. Sorry about that.

Sorry LegoCollecter14. As I said above, The settings on my laptop have changed so I can see them with my vision. The colours look bright on my laptop as the colours are inverted slightly. I will have my friend change them as he can see the colours better.

Okay, yes there could be lag. I agree it is something that needs working on strongly, however, if they add a mini game, that is easy and simple to make and doesn't need to many plugins and such, then it shouldn't lag as much. I understand if you disagree with my post because I need people to disagree to pick out the flaws with my idea to make more room for improvements.

Maybe not the strongest idea but, with work and development (research and development) then this idea can work and hopefully there shouldn't be so, so much lag. To be honest, I disagreed with what you posted because I think that, there shouldn't increase lag too much. Any suggestion/idea, is not right nor wrong but rather its pros and cons. It is about what we want to help change skyblock for the better. This is what I believe and it is something that should be respected. We could agree on an idea and next year hate the idea, it is about the present and where skyblock is now.

An idea could change from not so good to brilliant next month. I was trying to think of this idea on a long time scale rather than present. Lag could be a factor of cons. Tomorrow I will try to make a table listing the pros and cons suggested by people and ones I thought of my self and that should make clear which ones out-weigh which. Thank you for reading my explanation and I hope I made it clear.

Feel free to disagree as I need places to improve. This idea is based on the next 6 months and how the time during could help develop this idea. Again, it is an idea which means a thought or suggestion to a possible course of action. Thank you and give future suggestions to get this idea to prosper and evolve.
