Just a small idea, but it would be nice to let us use all of the main emoji that android phones such as Samsung and iPhone currently use.

I have some emoji I love using a lot more than the basic standard ones, such as the smily heartfaced emoji, or coloured hearts etc. But when I type them in forum posts, the forum post removes the emoji as I guess they aren't supported yet. Not a big issue, though would be nice to involve them all to use ✨❤

Android and ios, have multiple pages of emojis supported globally, I say android and ios, because they're the main emojis used by smartphones. Discord itself has their own made emojis that aren't universally available for everyone with a smartphone, whereas ios and android being the two main phone systems have a universally available set of emojis. This forum however only has basic sets that come with the forum creation settings.

Ios and android emojis can easily be added to the forum settings, whereas discord ones are most likely copyright protected and owned only by discord.

While they're not universally available, they're twemoji*, the emojis made by twitter.

    * I just discovered they're running on a fork, but still.

Why would you feel no support boba ? Just wondering what the negative impact allowing for the universal mobile emojis to be included would have

I wont be leaving a rating but I believe that their are better things for Dex to be doing than adding emojis to the forums.

Of course, but this doesn't have to be done ASAP, any time in future would be nice. Like how they decided to refresh the theme of the website for the update, nearly all of the emojis I use daily aren't supported. The forum could benefit from a small update simple as installing a new emoji pack that is readily available on the web. The forum software allows for simply updates like these with ease.

There ofc in game updates more important as you say, this would be for the forum though and could let players express better with newer up to date emotes

Because the smilies on the forum were all manually added by a forums administrator or equivalent. It would be very annoying to have to add 100s of emojis + having to find different names for ones that share the same expression (i.e. crying, smiling, cool). There was a vote done a while ago by the community whether to add Discord emojis or Apple emojis and majority voted for the Discord ones. I don't see the need to add the iOS and Android emojis, there are so many smilies already on the forum that help to express one's emotions.

Fair points to make, though I think updating them would be easy enough. They're such common emojis nowadays that there could be packs ready to install into the forums framework. I used to host an sfs forum similar styled to this and that's how they worked then.
Nearly all the emojis I use everyday aren't supported, rediting posts because they dissappear

Packs probably do exist but again I don't really see the need to overpopulate the forum with more smilies when there are so many already. I'm also personally not a fan of Android emojis and another issue is dimension sizes. The standard emoji is 18x18 px and it becomes very blurry, just take the Discord emojis for example. Seems unnecessary to me that is why I'm not supporting. :slightfrown:

There are like unicode emoji packs, say for example I used the Emoji which is a smily face with three hearts around it, I'm on android so they'd show up as a Samsung emoji. (I use samsung) if someone uses say a Nokia, they'd be a Nokia emoji. Android in that sense. And likewise if you use iPhone they'd display as an ios emoji. Sounds like a lot but it really isn't. It's the way phones can display the character code of the emoji. It uses your keyboards display type. Something thats very common on many social networks and sites

Cool idea, but I'd want a limit of maybe 4 emojis per post.
