I am admin on a server. Honestly, you should give the player a warning before you mute them. I didn't know "sex" was unacceptable to post in chat. I was never informed. I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job but it would be a good thing to warn the players before you jump right to muting. Thank you.
Different servers have different rules, limits, and styles. I'm aware that on skyblock.net, profane language is not tolerated. "Sex" is NOT a profound word by any means. You could have simply said "that word isn't allowed on here, please don't use it again" and the problem would have been resolved. But because you just muted me, and I was unsure why, you have done nothing productive, you just irritated me. Yes, if you must be this way, I'll just make an appeal on the ban appeals section. Though iris COMPLETELY unnessicary. I know that I'm not supposed to speak like that, now, so there should be no problem. Just stating the true meaning of common sense here. Not trying to frustrate you.
Think of it this way. There are ALWAYS 300 people on the server. More than 75% of them are probably 13 and under. This is inappropriate language and common sense like FangMatt said. People who cuss, talk about sexual things, etc usually get banned but you got muted instead meaning you got lucky. I believe it's also on the rules.
