I might be wrong, but I believe AntiCheat is what is preventing Schematica from working which makes map art creation more difficult and a lengthier process. At least so much that the printer function doesn't work. Map art creation has become a large part of many players activities and income generation so it would be great to make this process easier again. More than just art, they are a great way to create permanent reminders of events or immortalise players, etc. Additionally, Glitching in place and loosing /fly ,when ever players use /back or /jump (might only occur while flying) is quite annoying an I suspect this too is AntiCheat, so it would be great to have this fixed. If these issues aren't caused by the improved AntiCheat, it would be great if they could still be resolved.
For real, litematica printer made making maparts so much easier than the mess baritone causes. Really want to be able to make maparts more efficiently again. Water limits have been adjusted, still no perfect but workable now its time for anticheat to be worked on. This is SUPER annoying yes.
Honestly just disable it when you have /fly. Assuming it is Grim as athena said previously, the permission grim.exempt could work Permissions · GrimAnticheat/Grim Wiki · GitHub
GaroldGarcia and I went through the process of getting a mapart island, paying to expand it, etc, to make maparts a couple months before the update. We have since completely abandoned mapart making because it's such a headache.
Although there are still ways of automating mapart creation (using Baritone- https://skyblock.net/threads/automating-mapart-creation.142750/); the whole process of making a single 1x1 mapart takes two to three times longer than pre-1.19 (from my experience); and I find that making any mapart larger than a 2x2 feels like a chore. Would love this to be looked into further.
I believe that the anti-cheat feature preventing "printer" from working also prevents other stuff such as the killaura program I was using before the update. I'm pretty sure this is because now you have to be looking at a block to interact with it, which also prevents "printer" from working since it allowed you to place blocks from all directions.
YES AND PLEASE REDUCE WATER LIMIT (at least on survival skyblock, nobody's building any water farms on there)
I wonder if its intentions are to stop auto-mapart making? Has anyone confirmed this with Dex or crew?
Map art creation will still work with mods like baritone, schematica simply spams illegal packets so not really an anti cheat issue, just the anti cheat doing its work. We can probably disable some of the checks though to "support" it again if a staff member is willing to test it.
I'd be willing to help as well if possible, I used to make maparts much faster than I currently can using litematica printer functions, an updated and highly missed feature among the mapart community
Yeah, don't care. Consider the following part of this message as a second post, as double posting is not allowed: Since this thread hasn't been archived yet I'll take it that what was actioned wasn't what was described in the thread, and this can still be considered an open suggestion. The first part appears to have been implemented, but nothing has been done about the 'glitching in place' issue which in my opinion should have been higher priority than allowing non-vanilla packets to help some people build mapart and other builds. Additionally some accessibility mods like controllable (play java with a controller) also still don't work even though printer mods have been given a free pass. Overall I think what should have changed in terms of the anticheat blocking certain movement/block placing is that either everything (reasonable, no 50 block teleportation/reach) is allowed, or only legitimate packets are allowed.
