Hello, some of you may know me as Puredes... I am a builder. I love architecture and landscaping. There is a low to high y-value, but is it possible to trade islands with inactive islands for the greater purpose of expanding? Ex: Could a friend switch islands with an island next to my island? Is it truly necessary to take risk when a person has an island that consist of one bedrock floating in the air? Another island that has a cut down tree...etc. However, they remain a pointless use of space... I would love to keep building on my island instead of constantly building down, or up. I have four alternative accounts that I would enjoy to build fluently, to my central island. Please help me in this situation. Rules: don't bridge to other islands. What if I could own the island to bring the true spirit into Skyblock? Turning a small island into a bigger better island? Just imagine communities of players interacting for the soul purpose of putting an island together like a puzzle piece rather then worrying about the island right next to them being replaced? People would quit because of their lost work. Come look at the situation and verify whether it is worthy of staying, or just another floating piece of land with no purpose.

    Yours Truly,

    Puredes

The skyblock plugin deletes and re-generates a 51x51 area for new islands (assuming the island is after the generation update + inactive).

Even if someone allowed you, you'd both need to be active and hope the island doesn't get re-generated.

I don't even think "trading" islands is allowed anymore, seeing as how that rule seemed to of been updated.

    TL;DR No.

Trading islands is legal, as long as the island is wiped clean of all starter items

I mean if this is done I understand why it is a bad idea. You would have to not be allowed to /replace it. You would also have to not be allowed to replace your own island to obtain illegal items.

Perhaps if the permissions for the individuals were restricted this would be a great idea?

The onto way to do is is to catch your neighbor online, and convince them to give you their plot. Then, you will have to use another account to join their coop, and have them do /coop leave, which will transfer the plot to your alt's account. The difficult part is catching your neighbor as many islands are abandoned and don't get reassigned for many months, but it has been done before. Once you get ownership of the island, you can build on it with any of your accounts but make sure to keep the alt active so it does not reset the area!

The safe area for you to build is usually 50 in two directions (when neighbor is 100 away) and 150 in two directions (when neighbor is 200 away). Although you technically own a 100x100 plot, the unclaimed space between two distant islands can be used by you as well, giving you 300x100 :)

Thank you Kerahna I have started building a castle and my mountain are in danger of being disappeared! But my neighbors will never be on. Is there a way to make the island stay active, so it doesn't get replaced in a few months?
