I've seen quite a few Ore Generators on the server and am displeased with the designs other players have created. Too much bonemeal used per stone generated, very slow, too many unnecessary piston updates, ridiculously convoluted designs, etc. etc..

I have taken it upon myself to design the simplest, most efficient, cost effective, and lag friendliest design the server has seen yet. When I have accomplished my goal, I will release my design to the public, absolutely free, in an effort to ease the burden on the server itself, and to hopefully quell the TPS issue being created by janky ore gens.

I am near completion of my design, and I am quite pleased with it, but I have a question for the server and staff team.

Which is more lag friendly; a water flushing system to destroy unwanted item entities, or letting the items de-spawn naturally.

If it were not for the entity stacking plugin this would be a no-brainer, but since item entities stack over a large area, it may be more effective to let items despawn on their own, instead of having a water flusher activate every 60 ticks.
