The beginning was moments ago, and the end is moments away. You are atoms, and they do not care if you are existing or not. The universe will forget you, yet I will remember you. These kinds of statements both fascinate and horrify me. In my own opinion, the reason we all fear death is because we are all born knowing only life. To me, religion isn't an absolute proof that you will end up somewhere safe. I see religion as something to give people who are afraid something to believe in, something to have faith in, when in reality, none of us really know where we will go, what we will see, and especially what we will remember. Things like that scare me. But at the end of the day.. We are all going to die. Why spend our life worrying about what happens in the end, when we could simply just live our lives, and hope we end up somewhere where we keep our memories. that's what I'm worried about.
