So Krissy has FINALLY joined in on the new server bandwagon. But instead of feed the hype I would like to talk to you about things you should and shouldn't do to enhance your experience. Granted you may end up doing what I say not to, and that is fine; a server like skyblock is more enjoyable if you make your own experience and set your own goals. Remember... this thread isn't saying never to do some of these things, but to begin with when the server is new, you should avoid it.

    - Don't worry about being the richest: So you have your new island and straight away you start concerning yourself with becoming the richest on the server. Fine, if you want to be that person, go ahead. However I advise against this goal from the start. Skyblock isn't about being rich. It is about survival, building and community. Yes, a portion of the game is trade and that entices the older members in the community to establish some form of "economy" but everything you do shouldn't be about being rich. After all, what counts is how you act as a person, not whats in your inventory or chests. I'd rather be known for being poor but kind then rich and a... donkey.

    - Don't make up an "economy": This is bound to happen eventually however I would wait before starting to put prices on things. Trade items for the value you want at first then gradually a price that people agree with will form, then you learn, change and grow with the changes. You don't have to listen to what the more powerful users claim prices are. This is your experience so trade how you want to, at least until prices have settled down.

    - Don't get too competitive: A healthy dose of competition is good for motivation but everything isn't a competition. You don't need to aim for the highest island level, or the best shop, or the most amazing island. Be proud of what you do no matter what other people have done. Because becoming someone who has to always "one up" or bury others isn't a good trait to have.

    - Don't ruin other people's experiences: The whole part of a fresh server is to start over with features and gain more players. So leave the bitterness and toxicity behind for the time being if you really must be that one troll. Understand that the first month or so is very important. Don't argue with others and be kind.
Don't expect staff to know everything either, its a new experience for everyone and staff may know more however they are not going to know everything.

    - Don't over-hype: Lastly, while it is exciting to have this new server coming I advise you to calm down the hype. If you over-hype the server and it isn't what you expected then it can lead to personal disappointment and also for people who you hyped the server to. Keep expectations realistic.

I hope you all are looking forward to a fresh start on skyblock and the new experiences that will come out of this. If you want more little tidbits of information you can always message me. I speak from 4 years experience so I might have something to offer.
    ❤️ Krissy

Eh, I don't really care if people listen or not. I know most likely people will go crazy. Point is... they were warned and the consequences for not may affect their experience. Only time will tell.

Krissy. Your advice is very wise and and if taken by all would result in a wonderful server and community experience for all.
Unfortunately, just like in real life, competition and greed take precedence in the minds of too many.

I totally agree with your advice. If people followed, the server would be amazing!

    This is true, though.

I'm just hoping for at least a little while, people will hold off on some of those goals to let others also thrive :)

    Your thinking is wishful
    Your purpose is kind
But I think we'll soon be
    In the same Skyblock grind
