Due to the way our eyes work and interpret light, the cones in our eyes receive certain wavelengths that go through a process in the eyeball, is sent to the brain to tell you "that is blue" or whatever other color and then send that idea back to the eyeball which allows the majority of us to interpret colors. Now that you know the basics of why we see colors... why is the sky blue? Well the sky is blue because molecules in the atmosphere and air have scattered wavelengths of around 450 nanometers (The color blue) further and that wavelength is easier to perceive than any other wavelength at that moment in the day (at the time when our side of the Earth is facing towards the sun), this is why we see blue during the day, and as the blue wavelengths scatter away from our vision, reds, oranges, and pinks are able to be seen later in the day (around sunset) because of the way the molecules spread. tl:dr The sky is blue because of the Illuminati.
