Hello everyone, I joined SkyBlock a few days ago with a friend. We expanded our island a little and I've been finding some ways to make grass, mostly selling items to people's trade shops. I had a few questions that I couldn't get answered in game / didn't want to spam the chat log with.

1. What are god items? How are they created? (Enchanted by other players? Dropped? Acquired from voting?)

2. What is the purpose of godded items that are not tools? (For example I received some godded orange wool)

3. I'm new to skyblock type game mode. Is the only purpose to get grass and expand your island?

4. If I want to make a trade shop area, can I make the shop area different from my /home area? Or are they the same as when people /visit. Can I move the /visit area?

5. Any other newbie tips/suggestions for someone starting out on a SkyBlock server?

1. God items are items with every enchant on them. They can be enchanted by donors 100 and up.
2. The purpose? They're just cool xD
3. You could talk to other players and make new friends
4. Your /home is also you /visit. You can use signs or build your island in a way that directs players to your trade shop.

 

I'm pretty sure godded items are 1 hit KO's against mobs.
And vote everyday to get grass/keys

 

1. God items are items with all of the enchants on them. They can be enchanted with the /enchant all command but only donor 100 and up can do that command.
2. There isn't much of a purpose for them but if you enchant tools or armour they can be useful (note that godded items cannot break grass).
3. It's just a server that you can decorate your island and meet some new people.
4. Your /home is your /visit. You spawn at the highest point above the bedrock if you are visiting an island (or so I've heard).

2. They do have a purpose. Which is to kill mobs at warp animal for food. The fire provided by the godded wool will also cook the food
3. Its a community like mentioned above. However, many people love to climb the economy ladder. As you gain more grass/diamonds/iron, u can buy/sell rares and slowly make a profit etc...
Great risks. But great rewards (Made 1k diamonds this way)
Others would just simply build theur favourite buildings etc.

5. In the view of the guy who wanted to get thousands of diamonds, just remember to start small. Attending drop parties do give u a head start. (If you're lucky)
