Hey. I'd like to start by saying that I really appreciate that we can now claim DP heads in real time instead of having to wait 30 minutes after each DP. That said, I thought it was very confusing that the command to claim DP heads was a two word command. I don't believe I was the only person confused, based on the amount of players claiming that the command wasn't working. The command was "/collectibles gui", which makes it very confusing when staff were explaining: The command to claim the DP heads is /collectibles gui. Maybe having only one word such as /collectibles could help with this issue? Also, I tried doing the command even though I didn't win and I didn't get any feedback from the server. It could be nice to at least have an error message stating that we don't have anything to claim. Also, myself and other players noticed that joining /events server disabled /god mode when we came back to our island. My alt even died because of this. Luckily I only lost a diamond sword, but it could be very damaging for someone who just won a DP head and doesn't notice they don't have /god mode anymore. It could be great if joining /events didn't change our /god mode status. Those were my input to make the next drop party an even better experience.
I agree with both points made. I would add on a suggestion of better funneling players into the events server perhaps it could go by rank so first you let in titans then gods then lords then kings then knights then greenies. That way you don't have hundreds of people executing the same command at once triggering a response from the events server. I believe that is what halts the process of not only joining the server but being able to stay in the server. I noticed once everyone was in the events server it was probably the most stable drop party we've seen in years and the server itself ran smoothly this may be achieved by running it in 1.19.2+ but only time will tell.
Regarding the loss of /god mode. My alts also lost god mode and died, loosing their entire inventories. Thing is, they never even went to the /event as I was fast asleep. I don't know if this happened to anyone else.
I assumed that was what happened, but maybe it was something else? I assumed it was a default behavior the same way when you go to nether then come back.
another idea for the large influx of players typing /warp event would be if you could add a que could help reduce some of the traffic and or idk how expensive or resource intensive it would be to make a server for it like skywars.com is a alternate route to the server maybe skyblockevent.blah but as prior discussed once everyone was in it was fluid and a great experience in comparison to prior events
main problem with the dp's is half the server thinks it's fine to just go afk the second they get teleported to the singular spawn
