I realized that I would need to move my spawner lower in order to get squid to spawn, so I used a silk touch pick to get it for transport. The spawner was destroyed but no spawner item was dropped. I know that some blocks can't be silk-mined (mycellium, grass), but in those cases (or in places where permissions prevent mining a block), the mining just fails. Now my spawner is gone and I can't figure out why. Can someone help me to understand what happened? Also, before it was destroyed, the only mobs I could actually get to spawn were snowmen and villagers, but no other livestock. Isn't that supposed to work?
Only moderators can pick up spawners to prevent griefing, and you need grass and light to spawn passive mobs such as sheep, cows, chickens and pigs
- When you mine a spawner, it breaks. You have to have a mod move it for you. Do you have proof of it? - Also, to spawn live stock, you need grass near the spawner to spawn the animals.
You can not destroy a mob spawner using a silk touch item, this has happened many times before. Just remember that silk touching a spawner won't work, that's why you need a mod to move it
Thanks for the information. I guess I have never sought the help of a mod, so I didn't think about that. As for proof, would the immediate presence of snow golems and villagers be proof enough?
You will need logs, or a photo of the spawner, unfortunately mods cannot refund without good proof :/
Do yo have the coordinates of the spawner? Feel free to put them in hidden content. Hidden Content [ hide] COORDS [ /hide] Don't put the space in between the brackets.
I rolled back your spawner at that spot, but you will have to ask a mod to pick it up for you if you want to move it. Hidden Content: **Hidden Content: Content of this hidden block can only be seen by staff members**
