Hello, I'm suggesting the removal of the ability to place/pour lava on the spawn point of your island. This can greatly improve the "spawn killing" death traps and shenanigans that go on. I was a victim of over a stack of diamonds being burt and lost due to this happening, please comment what you think.

I believe that a plugin would be implemented to disabled it being placed on your exact spawn point, although it may overlap it is unlikely you will die due to inadequate timing.

i have noticed this in single player, surely if it's in single player you can add it to servers.

 

But the spawn point changes based on blocks above it

 

In single player, it disallows me to place lava regardless of the Y- coordinates

Example spawn trap. The beacon is under the bedrock for locating purposes. NO LAVA is placed over the spawn point. Plugin circumvented.

 

This thread was more about making sure people don't grief easily, there is of course always ways to bypass anything, however it'd be more difficult. Another reason is when defaults create their cobblestone generator with the lava at their spawn point.

Support, I'm always being told that people are dying at spawns.

 

No such a plugin I belive.
Also you could just make the cobblestone generator so that the lava is on the other side of the spawn point. Or you could just put slabs on top of lava

This can be done with a simple plugin that Tanner can probs create.
