A brief summary about myself:
I have been around this server for a while. I've been active around 3/4 of the time. I try to take a hard focus on my surroundings such as school, family, friends, and my peers. I am a spontaneous person, resulting in me being able to make decisions quicker and more "on my feet" so to speak. I am, basically, ready for any hard/challenging task thrown towards me. I want the server to be a better experience for the players that are new, or even old. I want to be able to help the staff in their situations, and be a helpful subject to the community, this server is stood out towards me because of the time and effort I've put into it and I want that to work out for the better and better the server.

My in-game name is SkyttlesOG, but most people call me Sky/Skyt/Skyttles. My /nick is usually Skyttles.

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?)
Yes, in fact, I have been banned. If you'd like to know, you can check my appeal (only staff can see why, for personal reasons) (SkyttlesOG Ban Appeal). Also, I have been temporarily banned. The reason for this temporary ban was,I was flying around my island prior to a server restart. I did not notice the broadcast announcing the restart. I used the Huzuni client, and when I logged back in, I was temporarily banned due to flying without /fly on. I tried typing /fly before it banned me, but I wasn't quick enough because I had a sprained wrist so I couldn't type fast enough.
Why do you think you should be a mod?
I am online every day, and I try to help out as many people as I can. I've had some experience and I know how a large fan base likes to have a leadership role. I try to help out ANY time in chat I see someone needing help. If someone asks for a mod, I'll /tpa to them and see what is wrong, in case a mod is online but attending another case. I do this a lot, and if it is a case I can see needs moderator help, I ask moderators to come to me.


I've been on this server 1.5ish years, except I got lost in school and lost my old account. I have always loved playing this server, it changes the experience of Minecraft for me. I've gotten ahead in my life, and want to take a more responsible role in something I tend to do a lot in my life. The people I've been counting on in this community are more friends than I would consider the people I know in real life. I love being interactive with the people. I personally try to help out a lot whenever I can. This server has been my focus for the past 7 months, and I have built multiple friendships with people I would have never met. I am a fair person, I try to see the point-of-view of both sides of the story before a decision is made. I've been somewhat of a public figure to some people. I want the server to be the best for new-comers or the people that have been playing for years. It is my main source of entertainment/support, and I want a main part of my life to be as good as possible with more help around the community.


Going to pick up from here in the edit so I don’t have to confuse people putting different things in different places. Well, most of you know me. I’ve played the server for what’s coming up on 2 years, and I have not always been the best of people. I do have some people that do not like me, but I still respect them. I am not a biased person, I try to be as fair as possible.


I have a lot of personal connections, but at no point do I feel like they deserve any other treatment rather than someone I just met 30 seconds ago, they all know the rules and should follow them. I know the rules, I’ve over-read them more than any single person should at this point, I know them and will follow them just as much as the next person. I’ve loved this server more than any other, I’m not actually sure why, maybe it’s just the amazing community but no matter what, this will be my #1 server and I will always stick by that.


Qualifications: I have been helpful in chat after I was back online, I have been staff on a few other servers and I “know the ropes” as some would say. I also know the log tool better than most along with forums, very experienced with those. Multi-mods and other things are nothing new to me.


Attitude: I can get cranky just like everyone else, but I do know one thing about myself- instead of sitting and continuing an argument, I tend to try to understand it from the other person’s viewpoint, and if I know I’m in the wrong, I’ll state it. I also am not afraid to just leave, and not deal with what others would not like to see/hear.


Respectful: I guess you can say this ties in with attitude, but I am respectful. I try to make the best example I can by being as respectful as I can be. I go by the motto “Treat others the way you want to be treated” that we all learned as a kid.


Social Skills: I try to be an out-going person, but even the most out-going person I know has to have time to re-gain confidence. I try to talk to as many people as I can, and make many new friends. This helps because it shows I know how to talk to players other than being stuck on questions.


Forums: As I have stated before, I am very familiar with the forums. I’ve used the program used. I can use them while in school (on my phone- allowed in my high school), at home on my desktop (even in bed on my laptop), or just practically anywhere on my phone as my iPhone allows me to access forums very quickly and it’s an easy template to use. I am also very used to the threads and such, I can put my efforts into what’s needed.



I will elaborate more on why I want to be a mod above all others-



I want to start out by saying I want what’s best for the server. I want the server to succeed more than myself. I am by no means doing this for the permissions, nor the popularity. I want the server and community of players to be stable and I would love and appreciate to be one of the wonderful staff members that help hold this community together. I would like to be helpful, and actually do what is needed to make the community a better place and the server a more fun place to be.

I'd also like to point out, that as of right now there is no fufilment reason to join the server throghout the day, but if I was promoted I'd have a reason.

Monday: All day
Tuesday: 5-7 Hours
Wednesday: 4-6 hours
Thursday: 6-9 Hours
Friday: All day
Saturday and Sunday: All day.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
I am very experienced, I know all the commands and what to do in the situations that are needed. I have been a moderator on 3 previous servers, 2 of which down due to budget reasons, but they had a “fan base” about the same size as Skyblock and I am well fit for the position. I have also been an administrator on 2 servers ran by friends.

I spoke with my 1st and 5th period teacher today, explained the situation of forums and how I try to be active throughout the day and she has given me permission to use my school laptop to work on the forums during those periods. I am also allowed in 2 other classes, so I can be active even when I'm at school (just not on the server, as MineChat does not work for me).

I like you Skyt, your a very friendly player but I don't see you online very often on .net or forums. You have the raw potential but like krissy said, help out a bit more, get yourself known out there . Other than that i will give 30% support.
