On appeals Cyk753 was dealing with someone that glitches someone game by gifting them overloaded shulkerboxes which banned the victim. I was wondering how it worked? If I'm afk and someone throws me 3 full shulker boxes why does the game just kick me forever. Shouldn't it be fixed since people may abuse that?
The shulker boxes didn't directly ban the user, but rather made them unable to connect, as too many of them were trying to load in at once, kicking them every time they tried to join. After this was discovered, Leeeroieee was able to make some changes that should prevent players from creating extremely large books. Any extremely large written books that are found by the server will be automatically deleted; however, it shouldn't really affect regular gameplay, as it is very difficult to unintentionally make a book that is large enough to be automatically removed.
I haven't tried, but has this been tested with cyk's skyblock guide book? It's maxed out on pages (not characters, but still very large of a book)
Sure, i will drop some copies of my books and see what happens. For science! (Disclaimer: Sarcasm/joke)
I suggest you always go afk flying or in a box and with your island locked The types of books that are large are 50 pages with Chinese writing since it takes the longest to process
Pretty sure the issue is 'book banning' (I've seen a video on it before) Essentially, shulker boxes filled with books with maxed out characters cause massive issues, and so when a player has a few shulker boxes of these terrible books, it causes the server to kick them because they're producing so many packets. So, think of it as overloading the server by putting the books in someone's inventory. It doesn't matter what kind of text or unicode is in it, if there's enough books, it's not hard to do. (Putting a stop to this is quite a good thing)
