Due to recent events I am suggesting this along with Emerald.

So when a person is a moderator (example) and then someone buys them donor10, they will still have their moderator prefix and permissions, but then they get donor10 permissions too. So basically they overlap and the better ranks are the most important so they will be the one that you will stick with when someone buys you a lower rank for a prank or what so. When you purchase a higher rank then you will just be moved to the next rank - simple. This suggestion will help people not get deranked or anything like that to cause hassle.

Only buycraft can do this.

 

PEX has a command that can execute when something is bought from buycraft. It'll just add the group to the player. For example, if a mod has the 'mod' group applied to them, the /pex group <group> user add <username> will just add that group to the player, so if a mod has the 'mod' group and someone bought donor10 for them, it'll add donor10 to them and keep mod as well.

It shouldn't, and will never, be set so that users can't buy lower ranks. It benefits the server.

What really should be done is just tamper with PEX so that the donor groups don't overlap each other and mod groups. So, say a donor250 buys donor50, they'd keep their d250 perms but also get d50 perms.

If this were done, there'd be no harm to the server and would fix all the deranking issues.

No. As long as the ladder of groups is set up correctly, the highest rank you've purchased will be the one that you appear as regardless. The moderator ranks would have to be set above d400 on the ladder too so that nothing can affect their mod prefix.

 

It would imply though that you could have the kits overlapping?
like you'll get the kits in your d10 perms
then the kits in your d25 perms
then d50, etc.
so in reality you would receive like 40 kits a day?
