Schmoobin's Moderator Application 2017

I am Schmoobin. Some of you may not know me, so this is a short introduction. I've been playing the server for about two years now, and joined the forums in early 2016. I like to make YouTube videos, play video games, and respect women. I've always wanted to be a moderator on this server, and hope to become one soon.

I live in the United States of America (USA)

What languages do you speak?
I can only speak fluent English. I am looking into learning Spanish in the next couple of years.

Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc)
I can take screenshots with the F2 button on Minecraft. As for capturing video, I can use my Windows 10 screen recorder.

Why do you think you should become a mod?

Helpful
I love to help players whenever I can on the server and the website. I will try my best to help a new player with their current problem. Helping people (in this case, players) always makes me feel better, and it benefits the both of us.

Friendly
I'm a very friendly person, and try to always make a new player feel welcome on the server. I like to make friends with many of the players on the server. Greenies are generally treated poorly, but I honestly like them, and will be friendly towards them. Remember the Golden Rule: treat others the way you would want to be treated.

Honest
My mom always told me that lying is a sin. I am a very honest person, and try my best to be. When it comes to player reports, I will not be biased while handling the case, even if it is a good friend of mine. Honesty is one of the best traits to have if you're a mod, so one can handle reports fairly.

Active
I try my best to be as active as I can on the server and forums. There are so many amazing players on here, and I can't just leave them hanging.

Mature
I feel like I am a mature player. Personally, I love to have fun and crack some jokes online, but I know where the line is between funny and offensive (rude) is. I know, I used to me much more immature a while back, but I've been trying to be more mature over the past few months.

Experienced Player
I've been playing on this server for a long time, so I should know how to play this game. If somebody doesn't know how to do something, or doesn't know the price of an item, I can help them with that. I honestly love to help people.

Patient
This will tie in with being kind and friendly. Sometimes, a player has a hard time doing something, and it will take a long time to help them. Because I love helping people, I can handle situations in which it takes seemingly "forever" to fix.


How long can you be active on the server everyday?
I do not have exact times, but I will be on 30 minutes - 1.5 hours a day.

How long have you been playing Skyblock?
I have been playing Skyblock since mid to late 2015

Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game)
I have been banned a couple of times by console, but I believe that is it.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
I am currently a staff member on a server that is currently not up yet, and I was a moderator on private servers in the past.

Do you meet the requirements for staff? Yes/No
I think it's fair to say I do.

You should add a lot more detail in all areas and from what I've seen on the forums (and some in-game) you aren't really 'mod proof'. Good luck, however.​

No support. Add a LOT more detail. Sorry to say, its not that informative of you and what you've done to help the server, how you can help greenies, and others with problems.

I don't tend to memorise American time zones in my spare time nor do I care to look them up, so if you could include the number of your timezone (for example, mine is ACST GMT + 9:30) that would be infinitely useful.
Whatever you do, don't make the main font of your application larger than the standard size (4). This makes it look like you're space-filling. For your headings, use a maximum of size 5, unless it's for the main/first heading, and all subheadings should be the same size as the main text, but bolded, underlined or italicised.
Second note: you haven't written a lot. Once the font is downsized, I'll get a better idea of how long it is, but it felt pretty quick to read. I would advise you write around 4 long paragraphs on your best qualities, rather than 7 tiny paragraphs.
Whether or not you fulfil the staff requirements is not a matter of opinion: read the sticky'd threads in the moderator application section and you will know that.
You only know one language, and you're American (we already have a lot of Americans), which I know is not something that you can change, but it does not make you an ideal applicant.
I won't judge your activity, but many say you are inactive.

All and all, no support. Never really see you in game (could be timezones), and your application didn't impress me.
