Was afk, as usual, and came back to being spit on by one of the trader llamas and noticed it was named after a mod. I think it was Kerahna (sry if I misspelled, never get it right in SkyChat and I've KNOWN you seems like forever ). After briefly entering the idea of MY name on one, I quickly deemed myself not worthy! But the 1st name that came to mind of worthiness, was Gray Sage! I was lucky enough to have known & played with him. Those of us who've been around can attest.... Good Dude. Good Heart. Good Soul. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us. He was honored at /warp tradecenter but nobody ever really goes there AND it's kinda tucked away! Here's a chance to honor him daily and even put his name into the lore of the server! SomeGreenie: Why is this llama named Gray Sage? Is he a MOD too? SomeOGPlayer: Ah, Gray Sage. Let me tell you the story about one of the coolest players to ever grace the server! So it's with a great pride and a heavy heart that I suggest we honor Gray Sage, ONE MORE TIME! I had some Llamas on my island, and while I didn't have a grey one, I did have the grey carpet! I think it's the best one now! The glasses are a nice touch! Looks distinguished. RIP Gray Sage! Always in our hearts!
I personally hate the wondering trader and think that this is like naming a garbage dump in honor of your friend (My opinion i hate the wandering trader and his llamas hate me). However if this guy was a skyblock legend (I never knew him or just don't remember him) it would be cool to honor their name in a way such as this Easter egg kind of thing.
I'm SURE the wandering trader will only get better. It's new. Gotta find the right balance for it! But I do thank you for the support.
I’m slightly with JAWD: maybe something other than an entity that spits at people would be a good idea. Perhaps the trader himself? Seems like a sweet idea
Lol, you guys. I totally would've suggested many other things besides a llama that spits. I only choose it cause the others had been renamed and it was a natural progression in thought. It wasn't a well thought it idea. I think it's hilarious that it being a llama that spits is a "but". I mean, I see you still support, just with a "but". And that "but" is hilarious to me. With that said... Kerhana, STOP SPITTING ON ME! Lol
Bump and re-support to name the wandering trader in memory of a late friend. I think it's sweet, and a low-effort, high-cute lil QOL update.
It's nice that you want to honor your friend like that so he can be remembered however at this point in time we're not planning to add such tributes for two main reasons: If we do it for one player many others will suggest different players for various reasons. We can't be sure that the mentioned player would be fine with it.
I'm totally fine with that. I will say tho, 1. He's already been honored, in one way, in a secret cave in /warp Tradeshop. So we're not adding a new person, just HOW. 2. He's passed away so we'll never know their feelings about it. I would think that honoring that person, as long as in good taste, would be welcomed. Also, see #1. But I'm not pushing back. I accept your decision and thanks for all your hard work on the server!
