Suggestion to remove /ah tax. I earned 950, for selling something on /ah for 1k. That's not the 1k I asked for. I'll have to now increase my /ah prices to compensate.

We get taxed enough already for no reason on economy.

If I sell a rare/spawner on /ah now for 10mil, I'm only receiving 9.5m

If I sell a drop head on /ah for 20mil, I'd only be receiving 19m. Does /ah require electricity bills or something lmao.

 

The tax can easily be avoided by creating a player shop on your island and just selling it there. I don't understand the need for a tax in the first place. It is a silly, pointless idea that does nothing except make it a chore to sell items.

 

Many other servers use this to counter inflation, adding AH tax is prob one of the very few ways coins get removed from the server rather than created. As I've been perm banned for close to two years someone can correct me if I'm in the wrong. But otherwise I agree it seems pointless and I'm sure there can be other ways of taking coins out of the economy to counter the ones being created from /daily, voting, etc.

 

It’s never gonna work on a server where there are 20 different ways to print money out of thin air. The 5% tax will just raise prises a little or encourage more active player-shop spending.

I wouldn’t mind it if the taxes actually went to something but they seem to just delete the money for no reason, so support

 

Originally the taxes were meant to be given back to us in raffles etc but crew decided against that alongside jobs. So now we're left with a tax that voids income every tax round and an additional tax for ah listings also getting voided. It isn't the same as survival wandering scammer voiding grass, because this is actual income earnings. We're not willingly deciding to void away parts of our income as it would be buying from the trader. Tax for croppers imo can stay, but any other additional taxes can go no thankyou.
