Remove the cooldowns, it's as simple as that. Your end goal isn't to make this server like Mineverse, and the cooldowns is the same reason Mineverse died. I mean sure, I'll glady step right over, and watch this server die. And I'll be the one saying "I told you so". Stop taking all of our donations and putting it into stupid stuff that you may think help the server, but it really doesn't. This whole new idea you added? Is bs. It's the reason some of us are gonna be quitting, and I know if this server gets any closer to Mineverse I'm gonna go. Stop try ing to kill your server for crying out loud. This stupid update didn't make anything better, it made it worse. And a lot of the players hate it.

 

I think people are using this as a reason to complain and be overdramatic, it's not a big deal. No Support.

 

Support. It's really annoying and uneccesary. Also it could create more lag from people having to put another command inbetween others because they need to repeat it.

 

Ya'll don't want the server to lag, but, it won't lag when all of the players leave. I mean, what's next? cool down on how many chests we can open per minute?

I'm gonna keep this post very close to me when you also start complaining with us. We aren't using it as a reason to complain, we're trying to save a server we love and donated it from becoming dead.

 

Honestly, This was a terrible idea, it was ill constructed and is very far from balanced and well done. It limits players from pretty much doing anything, such as returning home, fixing, warping or even simple things. I support this post because the cool down doesn't currently serve any positive purpose and should be edited dramatically, including whitelisting things such as /home /is /homes /fix /warp /jump /ej, and more.

The cooldowns were put in around an hour ago. They're new and will most likely be edited so that chat's back to what it normally is.

 

I agree, this issue has been around for a while, and i thought they removed them for good.

Please remove this. We used to have a variation of this but I had assumed since we no longer had it people realized it was a bad idea. Guess not.

 

Well, First, you cannot do the same command twice. Second, each command has a 1 second cooldown. It's frustrating and only creates a negative impact in my opinion.

 

Cypriot added these in the original server a while back and you had to wait a while to go back to your island and a majority of other commands. He removed it a few weeks after as it did not solve the problem of the lag at all. If the developers are saying commands are causing the lag it isn't, was already tried on the old server and I doubt 100 players who are using commands is causing the lag. Other than that there is no reason to have these cooldowns, there were too many complaints on the old server coming from both players and staff.

The cooldowns do not solve the problem with the lag nor help the server in anyway as many players are complaining.

Of course, some form of spam prevention should be implemented, but this was not the direction to take it.

There are many other spam protections out there, I am fine with not being able to spam, but I think what they're doing to chat is too harsh.

The cooldowns need to go, while some sort of spam protection would limit spamming, but still won't help the lag the server is getting.

 

How long do you have to wait until you can do a command again

 

It depends on some commands, for basic it's like 1 second, for bigger commands such as nick or spawnmob and spawner it's difficult and closer to a minute
