I have 2 factor authentication on my main forums account (TheDruid), but I have since turned off 2FA on my Google account therefore I cannot access the codes I need to log in to my original forums account, and I don’t have the backup codes either. I was just wondering if there was any way 2FA could be disabled on my original forums account, allowing me to use it again.

you should be able to turn it off if you have access to your email. I think it gives you the option underneath where your meant to put the code into? Not 100% sure but hopefully that helps.

If you're not able to disable it using both the ways stated, fungamer333 can remove it if you're able to provide proof that you own the account.

Log into your google account and turn on the 2FA so you can use those back up codes. Log in with those codes, go to your settings, click "Two Factor Authentication" and at the top there is a checkbox. Uncheck the box. Since you dont need your 2FA, just do what you did in the before and remove the 2FA :)

    Hope this helps!!

I was thinking this - this should work

When you try to log in and it asks you to enter the code, there is a little link underneath saying something like 'Lost 2FA device?' and if you click it sends you an e-mail that can disable 2FA. Do you still have access to the e-mail that the account uses?
