I just recently have been IRL scammed. The amount that I have been scammed shouldn't matter, a scam is a scam, but regardless I owned the item that has now been taken by another person. It doesn't matter if the item I lost, I picked up randomly at spawn, or worked a year to get, someone who didn't do what I did, got that item(s).

An IRL (In Real Life) scam is when "Person A" gets "Person B" to donate for them. This could be an upgrade for $150 or a spawner for $5, it doesn't matter, all that matters is that "Person B" has money and is willing to spend it on Person A, for the reward of in game items.

The current rule is that Mods don't have to do anything regarding IRL trades. They can simply say "Oh, sorry, they are at your own risk", I am here to try to change this. If "Person A" scams "Person B", then "Person B" lost money they had IRL (Which I know is non-refundable because NoobCrew faces a chargeback fee.) If "Person B" is smart then they will have taken screen shots and hopefully have enough evidence to get "Person A" banned, but will not get a refund of the purchase.

However... If "Person B" scams "Person A", and takes the in game items without their side off the deal, then "Person A" is left with a problem. "Person B" has taken virtual item(s) that "Person A" has gotten, and there is no way to get them back. If "Person A" has enough evidence then the Moderators will ban Person B at the least. All a Moderator has to do is refund the items items that "Person B" has scammed, and refund them to "Person A", that is once they know that "Person A" is truly not in possession of the scammed items. And guess how much that costs? That's right, NOTHING.

I don't understand why this is not implemented already in the server. If this is implemented the server will not only make more money, (from "Player A" knowing they won't be left empty handed) but will affect the overall server, due to higher trust factors.

Thank you all so much for reading this, I have said all I have to say.

I doubt it, not refunding IRL trades has always been the policy

We have our reasonings. Say I payed 64 diamond blocks to be upgraded to donor10. Well if a mod refunds me, then the banned player gets unbanned, that's 64 more diamond blocks out in the community. Also, mods are here to moderate the server, not real life. We'll ban the scammer because he scammed on the server, but we are not here to moderate your real life actions. It sucks we can't refund you, but it's how it goes.

In other words, RWT (Real World Trading) will not be refunded since they are at the own risk. Don't buy it unless you trust completely the other person.

Can you change it so that it's not at our own risk? What if the person took screenshots of the convo they had with another person? If we have proof on can you refund?

A moderators job is to secure that the players have a great time and to get rid of the rule breakers. Since it involves things outside the server, a moderators job ends there.

IRL trades are dangerous and the rules are harsh so that people dont do it. If you want to donate and upgrade, use your own money, its much safer to save up, then get banned and not be able to play

The simple reason, is that mods have no way of verifying if the IRL trade has indeed taken place. IE, you could have paid the 64 dias, recieved the $$, and claimed that you didn't recieve the $$. Unlike ingame where items are loggable and mods can see that you paid 64 dias and didn't receive your waterblock as agreed.

With that said, it is still possible to get your items back, I recently did. Make sure you take plenty of screenshots and videos of the entire conversation. If the scammer admits to scamming and returns you the items, then you'll get them back.
