Hello! I'm a big fan of .org, and have been playing a while so am thinking about applying for TMod to give something back to the community. Before I do that though I want to know what I'm applying for! Please can someone informed fill me in on the following? :)

    1. Please clarify which permissions TMods, Mods, and SMods have.

    2. How do promotions work? For example, if you're deemed to be a good TMod, do you get promoted automatically, and same to SMod, or can you choose not to be promoted?

    3. What are the duties of the different ranks of Mods? i.e. you have to do it, no choice

    4. What other things can the various Mod ranks do, not duties, but extra stuff? e.g. I know picking up spawners is one, for Mod and SMod.

... Also I have one or two specific questions about the rules...

    1. I am fairly sure that on .org, gravel is illegal to trade, flint is legal. Is this correct?

    2. I know god items are illegal for players without /enchant unless cooped with someone with /enchant. However, it's unclear whether they are illegal to own, trade, or both. I previously understood that a greenbean with no co op is not allowed to even own a god item but someone was saying recently they are allowed to own it, just not trade it. Which rule is correct, please. And if a non HR+ co ops with one, and legally has a god item, then leaves the co op, are they allowed to keep it?

Thank you in advance for all the information :) NekoEmmi xxx

I can answer the rules questions :p
    1. I know gravel is illegal, but not sure about flint :/
    2. Greenbeans can own a god item, just not trade it.
Yes, because they didn't trade for it. ;)

Cyp/Crew decides who get promoted. If you are TMod until you are promoted or demoted by Cyp/Crew. Same with Mod. They respect if you need a break from modding, but again it is to their discretion.

    1. Please clarify which permissions TMods, Mods, and SMods have.
It would be painful to list all of our permissions. We have regular moderator perms, smods have a few more than mod (rollbacks, echest of other players, etc.) mods have a few more perms than tmod (banning offline players, worldguard bypass, etc.)

    2. How do promotions work? For example, if you're deemed to be a good TMod, do you get promoted automatically, and same to SMod, or can you choose not to be promoted?
You get promoted by CypriotMerkz whenever he feels you are ready to be Moderator, if he doesn't feel you are ready in a varying amount of time, you will be demoted. Smods are promoted if you are an exceptional mod.

    3. What are the duties of the different ranks of Mods? i.e. you have to do it, no choice
All mods are required to deal with reports, and problems in game. Our responsibility is to create the most enjoyable, safe environment for players that we can.

    4. What other things can the various Mod ranks do, not duties, but extra stuff? e.g. I know picking up spawners is one, for Mod and SMod.
I basically answered this in number 1, Tmods can't pick up spawners since they don't have worldguard bypass.

    Extras
    1. I am fairly sure that on .org, gravel is illegal to trade, flint is legal. Is this correct?
Gravel is illegal to trade, and flint is legal to trade.

God items are illegal to trade with players that don't have /enchant, unless they are a Highroller+ (Since they have /enchant). However, you can god enchant for players on your island. You can keep god enchanted items on your island if the Highroller+ leaves your island (However there may be consequences if this is abused)

    Hope this helped.

Hehe thanks for the info everyone. Especially Andrew, your answer was very thorough!

Sorry I am confused though about the god item thing still. (Yes I know legit enchants are fine).
Joben said: "2. Greenbeans can own a god item, just not trade it. Yes, because they didn't trade for it. ;)"

But, how do they get a god item to start with without breaking a rule? I was meaning someone who wasn't allowed god items due to being cooped with a player with /enchant. For example, I saw a greenbean once with a god item and said I didn't think it was legal for them to have it. They said it was legal to own, just not to trade. They did not have a co op who was HR or higher and never had done. I thought this was an example of someone with an illegal item that should be confiscated. Thanks in advance for clarifying.

One more thing while I'm here.. I appear to have inadvertently sparked a debate today about whether politics/religion are banned topics on .org. This would appear to be true on .net but there was disagreement about whether it applied to .org as well. I have never seen this rule anywhere before on .org, can a high ranking mod on .org please clarify this for me too? I don't really see why it should be a banned topic :/ x

There is no proof to confiscate an item. If they got the item illegally, then so be it.

I think they were a new player Gracie but I was giving the example mostly to try to describe what I meant anyway. So I think Andrew's point was that just having the item isn't proof enough of a rule being broken, but if I saw an illegal god item trade take place that would be a different matter ? Thanks good to know :) It seems to be that if not sure, do nothing is the correct course of action.

I have another one... donor 10s, are they allowed in the donor shop? People yesterday disagreed on this; some people were saying you can teleport donor10s into donor shop as they should be able to get in, others were saying they couldn't get in because they aren't supposed to.

And, does anyone know about the politics/religion thing? I mean I know it's not a wise topic choice just to avoid annoying anyone, however is it actually against the rules/bannable if someone does talk about it?

Thanks again everyone for sharing your wisdom with me x

Donor 10's are allowed in the donorshop.
We do our best to keep opinionated topics like politics out of chat in general, as it may lead to arguments/feelings being hurt. I usually request for the player to stop talking about the topic, and if the player continues a mute may be required.

Hehe Hoe I think you were one of the main people disagreeing with me in the original discussion XD so I came here for clarification/second opinion. I  you as a friend and think you're an awesome mod, however I disagree that the rules are the same across the skyblock servers; I think the community and atmosphere on .net and hellblock are quite different and so I'd really like to know what the .org mods think about it... don't take it the wrong way, I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just not sure and I'd like an .org Mod or SMod just to clarify whether or not a mute/ban is appropriate for talking about "opinionated topics" as you put it as I've never seen in any .org rules anywhere that this is against the rules. See you soon x

Thank you Andrew :) I think that this should be added to the rules book and /warp rules then, as I was mildly annoyed the other day for being told I was rulebreaking when it's not written anywhere. Clear rules are always a good thing (I think the new warp rules is awesome by the way, it's so much clearer than it was when I joined the server, someone has put a lot of work into it so thank you whoever you are) x

You are welcome to make a suggestion or contact the warp maker of rules. Can this be closed now?
