Moderator application​

Hello, I am Purplevillager1, otherwise known as Madi. I was a moderator on both .net and .org, once upon a time, for a total of about a year. I resigned due to school, boredom, and having better things to focus on in my life. Now I’m at the end of my senior year of high school, which has been running very smoothly, and I’m heading off to college for this fall semester. I have much more free time now than I have had in the past, and I’m guessing I’ll have even more in college.

Any-who, the time of my resignation was back in December of 2016, so quite a long time ago. I had decided to make a reappearance in January of 2018, hoping to play on the fresh skyblock, giving myself a new challenge... I'll definitely be on that new server a lot when it opens.

My personality as changed quite a bit within this year, and I feel as if I am a lot more mature than previously. Also known as, I won’t do anything stupid as I have done previously.

Why do you think you should become a mod?

• I am a highly analytical person, and can solve problems very easily and choose the most efficient way to do so.
• I am fairly mature, I know what behavior is acceptable and that I will be representing the server. I have the ability to make wise decisions, and also don’t fear going to others for opinions or help.
• I have experience, I have been a moderator here, an administrator on a server, and moderators on a few others as well. I know what I’m doing, I know commands. I know rules.
• I work well with others. I have a summer job as a camp counselor, during which I have to work with little kids and fellow co-counselors. I also teach Sunday school to 2nd graders... which believe it or not is not an easy task, and requires a lot of patience.
• I use my time efficiently, and can multitask efficiently.
• This fall of 2018 I am planning on studying forensic science and psychology. I want to work as a criminal profiler. I am very organized in my thought process as well as materialistically. I am calm and careful to analyze and work well under stress.
• I think most would say I’m friendly as well. I like to help people a lot, especially new players. But seriously, helping people is what I want to do for part of my career.

I have also been in the community since 2013, and I know the server and its rules. I’ve had this position before, and did fairly decent, and I definitely feel as though I would definitely improve this time. Thus far I have been active in game, and check forums regularly.


How long can you be active on the server every day?
It depends on the day, but at least an hour daily Monday-Thursday. Usually between the times of 6:00pm-1:00am. Weekends I can be on whenever needed, usually for somewhere from 2-6 hours.

This is current, and is subject to change.

Monday: 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Tuesday: 5:00pm – 11:00pm
Wednesday: 6:30pm – 10:00pm
Thursday: 5:00pm – 9:30pm
Friday: 4:00pm – 1:00am (I know that runs into Saturday)
Saturday: 10:00am – 11:30pm
Sunday: 1:00pm – 9:00pm

No, I’m not going to be on the full length of that time. Those are just time frames in which I’m available most of the time.


How long have you been playing Skyblock?
I first joined skyblock in... August of 2013 possibly? I think.
Since I’ve come back from my break, about a month.


Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game)
Besides removal of permissions and a single day tempban that was a misunderstanding, in-game, no.
Forums, never.


Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
Yes, approximately a year here.
I have also moderated 3 other servers, and have been the administrator of one. (As far as I can remember)


Do you meet the requirements for staff?
Yep.
